it works perfect but one of my cats didnt even looked at it, the other tries to catch it but 3 min after he gets bored... I stick with a duck tape a thread and it has more success now...algo the red light its a red light not a laser....

The product didn’t perform as expected.It would repeatedly get stuck against flat surfaces and just knock against the wall.It appears to be underpowered even after fully charging it and thus totally uninteresting to my cats.Also it is extremely difficult to put the two halves back together because of the very fine threads. It’s just too easy to cross thread the halves. I was lucky not to destroy it that way.I am returning this item.

Mostly what this does is roll around...it has a gyroscope in it. I don't see any light coming out of mine, so I don't know if I got a different model from what was pictured or what. At any rate, cats like it ok, nothing like their catnip-filled soft fur tufts, but the ball rolling all by itself is kind of fun for them now and then. It's a bit too big really even for my big cat to get ahold of and do anything with so he tends to lose interest quickly, they will just sit back and watch the ball roll around until I shut it off. It's an ok toy.

I could barely keep up so I bought this ball in hopes it would help. Success! It keeps him busy and out of trouble. Kittens usually bite on things they shouldn’t while they’re learning. If the ball comes by, he forgets about whatever mischief he’s up to and chases after it. I left it on all day yesterday and all morning today. When he’s tired I turn it off. It lasts a really long time.One thing, if you only have Carpet, it doesn’t work as well. Fortunately I have carpet and hard flooring so he has a place to play with it.Shipping time was excellent. They got it out to me in one day!

Saw this and thought our cats would love it, based on majority of reviews. Nope. They showed only mild interest, and only for just a few seconds, before summarily ignoring altogether. Laser light and movement did intrigue them but the buzzing motor (especially when magnified on hardwood floor) spooked them and killed the 'fun'. And that was that. Our little dog chased it a few times but quickly lost interest and did not like the movement/feel of it whirring while he had it in his mouth. So 0 and 2. LOL. Oh well, at least I tired. A piece of string or old sneaker shoelace, (or a pinch of catnip on just about anything) are still the simplest, cheapest toys that almost every cat will certainly love to play with over & over. IMHO/YMMV.

Fun toy for cats or small dogs. This ball rolls around the floor and also shoots out a laser to get your pets attention. I found that pretty cool since I never have seen a ball do that. It has sensors in it so it never gets caught in a corner and it runs for around 40 minutes before it auto shuts off. It last quite a bit of time when fully charged and it's nice it has a built in battery so you simply recharge it via a USB cable. Really fun toy and great value overall.

I know in the description it says that this is not meant for carpet and better on hard floors, but I got it anyways just to try out because my cats are always so bored. Unfortunately the only place in my house with hard flooring is either the kitchen or bathroom, so I tested it mainly on the carpet in the living room and my room, where the cats usually stay. It does have ALITTTLE movement on the carpet, but would get stuck every few seconds where I would have to nudge it in order for it to move again. I wanted to see how long it could stay on for before dying, but I got too tired of constantly having to nudge the ball around on my carpet in order for it to move. I also found it a bit inconvenient that you need to unscrew the ball and leave it unscrewed in order to charge it. I did test it in the kitchen and bathroom just to see the difference on carpet vs hard flooring, and it is much much better on hard floors - it actually moves around quite a bit and could provide some entertainment. If I had hard flooring throughout my house or if this could work on carpet I'd probably give it 4 stars.

Kind of Cool .. I Thought The Cats Would Respond More Though and it Was Probably Me who Was More Amused ?? (the Laser Light Pen I Bought for Them Recently was Much More Rewarding ..) Battery life is OK, But not great. Unscrewing the Cap to Recharge Unit and then Screwing Cap On Again Can Be Frustrating. Wants to "Cross-Thread" easily w/ fine threads on plastic and if Both Halves are Not Mated Correctly, Unit will "Bind" and Not Perform Freely .. Price Was OK and Not Really Expensive -So That Whatever the Outcome, Its OK .. Would Neither Recommend For or Against Buying at This Point ..
