This listing is for ONE sample piece. The pictures show more pieces to illustrate variations in the samples. Sample of the molten sand left behind from the first atomic bomb detonation on July 16, 1945 at the White Sands Missile Range outside of Trinity, New Mexico. Dubbed Trinitite by locals and journalists who scooped up souvenirs after the blast. All trinitite samples have one side that is glassy green and a sandy opposite side. Holes from escaping gas bubbles are also evident on most samples.
