The generator I have is the RS5500, and she hadn't been started in at least two years. Now I changed the oil, cleaned the spark plug, cleaned the carburetor, and siphoned off the old fuel, still nothing. So I bought this kit without holding any reservations. Now I didn't need everything, and I only ended up using the gaskets, fuel filter, and spark plug. Once I reinstalled everything, she cranked right over; this was defiantly money well spent.

I use my generator a lot. when it started to repeatedly cough and die on me during use I tried the spark plug change, fuel filter, fuel line and wire/battery check with no success. I cleaned the OEM carb with no success. I bought/installed this new after-market carb and had instant success. The replacement took me 20 minutes. Have to be patient with removing the old gasket and properly seating the new one (any gap in the gasket and you'll regret it). Anyone can complete this carb replacement and you'll find it'll solve a lot of your generator problems.

Just installed this on my General GP7500E . I didn’t need the shut off switch that is included in the kit. I put this on and started right up without any adjustments to the needle screws. Fit perfectly. I height recommend this kit. Also received in two days. Awesome.

Generator was in a barn for SEVERAL years, drained the fuel, cleaned carb, and tried fuel additives, but nothing got it to fire up. Ordered the kit and replaced what was offered and it is running good. Only issue was no directions and the choke was different so I had to figure that part out myself, but whole thing took about an hour'ish. Generac GP6500

The plastic spacer was different then mine and honestly I wasn't expecting to replace it anyhow. The air filter was a perfect fit and all the other stuff was an added bonus when all I really needed was the carburetor.
