I have not compared it to other 360/omnidirectional speakers, but I have an Altec Lansing H2o 4 and an Eton Rukus XL. When standing in front of all of the speakers this is just a little quieter, but if you are not perfectly in front of them, this is louder and more clear. This speaker is made to be on a table in the middle off the room when most others are made to be off to the side pointing at people.

Q: What is the Bluetooth range on these speakers

They say 10 meters, but I find often it's well sorry if that. I just can't back from kayaking with my daughter, and even on a calm evening on the lake we got about 2 meters before the music started breaking up. The speaker was on top of her plastic kayak (8 inches above water) and the phone was on top of my plastic kayak (5 inches above water). Both devices were in sight of each other. Last year with same kayaks I had a much older speaker and we were able to me more than 30 meters apart.

Through your phone you can stream any music. I use Spotify the most.
