Rugged Ridge | Hood Catch Kit, Textured Black | 11210.18 | Fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ

Finally a cure for hood flutter. I didn’t buy these when I first saw them because of the price. So I kept buying $20 factory replacements and watch them stretch time after time. I would’ve saved more if I had just bit it and bought these first.

One had a broken latch apon arrival. Had to install due to my son leaving back for college. It would latch but the hold down clip was broken. Called customer service, fed ex a repl clip plus a spare to my sons college. Excellent service. Installs easy and does not hit the hood like other models. Don’t go with the aftermarket rubber ones went thru 3 different sets all cheep buy oem or a good set. Well worth the money. Extremely satisfied with product and customer service.

Item is exactly as described and fit my Jeep fine however it is obvious that the item had been returned from a previous customer and resold to me. It is missing a bolt and a nut. I contacted Rugged Ridge to request the missing items. Still waiting.

These things are really solid!! There is about an inch of adjustment, up and down, on them which is exactly what I needed. Just installed them today so I can't speak to how well they will hold up yet. At first glance though, they are solid, well built and the latch is solid.

Out of all the aftermarket hood latches for TJ's that are out there, these are the real deal. Went through several others (testing them) before trying these. They work very good and is what we will go with for this rock/show build project jeep

I like the look these on my jeep, BUT I have had a few issues !! First the all thread rods for my latches were about 1/2 short, still waiting for a response back for (2) replacement pieces, so instead of returning it I had to machine my own, because nobody in my area carries the metric size of the rod. The plastic Safety Snap, I read from others these have broke on them, I broke one when washing my jeep. I would advise you because it's plastic, to get replacement ones on hand for a just in case (Part Number 11210.11W06 / Baseline 4x4 carries them)

Looked great for a while and holds tight... however the coating and the metal is corroding big time and paint is chipping off in large flakes. Now they look like garbage on my newly painted Jeep. Too bad they can’t make a decent hood latch! Will be repainting these myself luckily I have the supplies to do it already. I wouldn’t reccomend these honestly and I would not buy from them again. I paid over $150 for these catches- I can’t believe they haven’t lasted a year.
