Great Find!!!
I had one of the original Aladdin mugs for years and absolutely loved it. Used it around the house, in the car, camping, everywhere.About a month or so ago, I dropped it and the handle broke off, I was bummed. Loved that mug.I went to the Aladdin website, and of course, they don't make them anymore, now I was REALLY bummed. It was one of those things where I wished that I had bought more than one at the time I bought the one I did buy. Thankfully, after looking around some more I found the ThermoServ version on Amazon. From what I read, ThermoServ found the original molds and was remaking them. Although I was a bit dubious, I bought 6 of them.A couple of the reviews I read mentioned that yes, this is in fact the exact same mug with just a couple of small differences. So I took a chance and ordered up.A few days later they showed up in the mail. Let me start off by saying that yes, they ARE the same mug with only 3 small cosmetic differences. On the original Aladdin, molded into the outside of the handle was the Aladdin name, of course now it says Thermoserv. On the bottom it now says Thermoserv as well. On the original Aladdin, the lid had a a circle molded into it with the same grainy pattern as the mug itself, now its just a smooth circular pattern.Again, all cosmetic.Having worked at a few injection molding shops over the years I can tell you that molds can and do cost thousands of dollars to make. I can't see ThermoServ spending all sorts of money finding an original Aladdin mug and then making a copy of the mold only to try and sell a few mugs to folks looking for an exact replacement for the Aladdin model. This IS the EXACT same mug, save the few minor cosmetic differences. In a couple of the reviews that I've read, people say that no, this isn't really a travel mug. In the fact that they won't fit in a cup holder, that's true. But here's why I love this mug so much, and for me why it IS a travel mug. It fits perfectly between the parking brake handle and the drivers seat of the two cars that I've owned when I had the Aladdin and now the ThermoServ version. I couldn't MAKE it tip over if I tried. Now for the review part of the review. This mug keeps coffee hot and cold drinks cold very well. Mugs that WILL fit in a cup holder are fine, they just don't hold as much as this mug does. 12, 14, 16, or 18 ounces just won't cut it for me.If your looking for a mug that works well, is durable as heck, and holds just the right amount of liquid, this is the one.Oh, and speaking from experience, when you clean the mug, don't use anything abrasive. Once the inside gets all scratched up, it's tough to get the smell of whatever you've been drinking out of it, out of it.Buy a couple and enjoy.

Spawn of the Green Meanie
I love this cup! I have owned the Alladin version of this cup for like 15years, I love this cup so much that it has its own name (The Green Meanie) around my household) so when I saw a remake of The Green Meanie for sale on Amazon, I had to buy a pair. These are exactly the same, down to the seams, as the old Alladin version of this cup.Pros: This is a big cup! I like a big icy glass of soda, I can fill this cup all the way to the top with ice, then pour a full 12oz can of soda over the top, (use less ice, more soda) but it holds a good solid amount of liquid. It has a very simple lid, it snaps on, has one drinking hole (and one small vent) in it, no moving parts, which makes it easy to clean, and lowers the amount of nooks and crannies that accumulate schmutz if you, say, leave your cup in your truck over a hot weekend... it is also large enough that you can easily reach INTO it to scrub the inside base (a feat not always possible with small cups, without a sponge on a stick.) The insulation on this beast allows ice to stay icy for hours, I have left this thing overnight with ice/water, picked it up in the morning and there will still be ice floating in it. I have also taken this out in the snow with coffee, and it allows the coffee to stay warm for a goodly amount of time. They are burly as hell, I have dropped, bounced, kicked, skidded, tumbled these mugs out of my truck for years, there are no moving parts to break, no rubber seals to loosen up and the hard plastic even lives through my three kids banging the snot out of them for a decade.Cons: Its big! It is very unlikely that this will fit in your cup holder unless you have a holder that is designed to fit extra large cups! It is hard to spill with this, because the lid snaps on tightly, but there is no function that allows it to be completely closed, the drinking hole always remains open, so while it may be hard to spill, it is possible. I have drank plenty of coffee from this cup, but even for someone like me who like a LOT of coffee, it is a herculean amount! I go to a 24oz cup or smaller if I want to drink coffee, so for me, these cups lend themselves to cold drinks better.Overall these cups are awesome, and since I already have enough for me, I can let the secret out and suggest you buy the crap out of these things while you can get them. I got mine as a gift about a decade ago, and by the time I realized how awesome they were they had stopped making them, don't delay like I did, get yours today!!

Excellent Large Cup For Travel
I've used 32 oz cups from Speedway gas station for a few years, and have a cupholder which works perfectly with the larger size cups (rather than a standard cupholder). When my last one cracked, I looked for a replacement and discovered that no store had them anymore. These cups are about the same size and work very well. They keep cold drinks cold very well, and the sip hole will work fine with a straw. They're good for about 4 hours or so for hot drinks (in vehicle interior temperatures, not outside). My old cup had a slide (circular) closure which would help keep drinks warm and also stop spills if the cup tipped. These have a nice open top hole (and a small hole opposite) which works great for sipping -- no need to slide open -- but when they tip, everything can spill out quickly. They are not easy to tip over, so this isn't usually a problem. I like being able to grab the cup and take a drink without having to flip open a cap (sealed cups do that, which are much better for keeping warm), especially when driving.Even around the house or out in the yard, these are nice for covered cups for drinks. Less likely to spill, keep cold or warm, price isn't bad at all.
