Double 12 Numbered Dominoes

I bought a set of these, wanting to try dominoes out in my ongoing therapy for disabilities, and not sure which ones I would need--I knew I definitely wanted to try the numbers instead of dots.I also got another set of numbered dominoes, double six, that Puremco doesn't seem to have anymore. They are not embossed, the numbers are painted on flat surface. I haven't had any problems with them yet, but I haven't used them hard!When I started learning about solitaire domino games and considering my reaching and other disabilities, I decided I really need to stick to double six. Then I realized I could take the double six pieces right out of this double twelve set, and put them into a different container. And there is no concern about telling the sixes and nines apart, because double six does not include the nines.One question I have is what the numbers would be like if they were not different colors, but all the same color? People like variety in dominoes, so maybe there could be sets of all black numbers on white pieces, or all white numbers on some other color pieces, or of course the mixture of colors.I would like these to come in tournament size, too! And definitely embossed numbers rather than just painted on.I thought of maybe "six" and "nine" actually being on the dominoes as words, but that would only work for English! Still, perhaps that would be a very good option for sets that include both numbers. Not only are they words, but they have different numbers of letters.I think there is a very good market for numbered dominoes. I'm sure looking for tournament sized double sixes!

Who said Dominoes is a toy? It is a great game for all ages. I'm retired and I play dominoes at least once a week.This is a great set. My friends ask me to bring my set when I go to their homes. Easy to read numbers and pretty colors have caused me to put my dot dominoes on hiatis. The box is nice too. Some of my friends have a problem because the 6 and the 9 are close in color. The 9 is red and the 6 is barely a shade lighter. However the 6 has a line under it so I can tell immediately which it is. The only comment I get is that they should have been printed in starkly different colors. Other sets have lines under both the 6 and the 9 which confuses my friends even more. Therefore this is our choice set.

Are easier to see then with the dots with the bright colors.

UPDATE: Amazon made this right! Received my new set today (8-31-2020). Perfect! Return was painless, just dropped the dominoes off at UPS and now to playing!.This is the second set of Puremco Mexican Train Dominoes I have purchased. First set had 1 incorrect piece 11/10 instead I received 11/8. But for a year we played with it and then decided to re-order a set. So we choice "Amazon's Choice" Double 12 Number Mexican Train Set. This set is missing 12/6 and 9/8. Instead I received 10/6 and 9/6. We also own 6 sets of Puremco Double 6 dominoes. So it is not the first time using their dominoes. Disgusted, but I will return these; otherwise I have thrown away $22.

I bought these for my Mom (67) for Christmas. This is a game that she has wanted to learn to play for a long time. For those who are aging or have small children, the color coded numbers are a great alternative to the dots. My children (6, 5 and 2) played with us Christmas afternoon. They could just match the numbers and the youngest just had to match colors. Everyone had a great time. It's a fun game and great way to promote family time and playing together.This set comes in a plastic storage case, with the center piece for Mexican Train and other games and the train markers. It is a complete set for learning lots of domino games. It's great that all of the pieces fit back into the box, so nothing gets misplaced.

What a difference these have made for me. Easy to read numbers, made of high quality materials, full size., Just a plain great value & the whole family is greatly pleased with them. I May just buy another set & leave at the cabin for weekend game time. The only negative would be the 6 & 9 colors are too much alike, but becomes minor after getting used too.

Have gotten at least 5 other people to order this after they played with the set. It is aways the go-to set with a request to make sure I bring it to the gathering. I put black dots with permanent marker on the 7's, to make the numbers stand out more, because the light yellow is hard to see somethimes. I also colored in the 9's black, because it is too close in color to the 6. They are both a redish color. Poor planning on designers part. Apart from that, this is a fantastic set. So much easier to play with for all ages!!
