Hayward W3900 Wanda the Whale Above-Ground Suction Pool Cleaner for Any Size Pool (Automatic Pool Vacuum)

This is the 3rd year of Wanda and I am very happy with her.Pros:keeps pool clean with minimal effort on my part. Picks up more than my push vaccum head.Helps keep pool water warmer by circulating the cooler bottom water with the warmer water on top (in combo with solar cover).Can be used with solar cover on.Easy to take apart to replace parts/remove rocks or other stuck items.Cons:She sometimes gets stuck in place. I just pick her up and move her and shes fine. it doesn't happen often and is not even really a con. It's a more affordable machine so I do not expect it to be running like a thousand dollar vaccum.IMO, she is worth every penny. When she finally gives out I will but another one.

This works great! Did my whole 40x16ft pool in 45 minutes. I have a salt water pool, and the Polaris was killing the shrubs near the far end, that get squirted by the Polaris' tail. I bought the leaf basket, too, that goes in the line. And the best part is, you don't need a separate pump!

We used it once and it worked okay. It didn’t get every area, but it was better than doing it manually. The second time we went to use it, it didn’t work anymore and the one side doesn’t go up and down and it doesn’t stay flush with the bottom of the pool. Very disappointed and would not recommend this product.

We love this as opposed to a traditional pool vacuum. It’s worth the investment.I give 4 stars only because it really has to be used with the hose provided or it will get tangled up and won’t stay flat at the bottom of the pool. We learned this when we just tried replacing a very old ladybug version of this with the whale and a one piece solid hose we had. Also, the black plastic ring came off and we had to figure out how to fit it back on but not a big deal. The sectioned hose is necessary or it won’t work as efficiently. All in all I would buy this again.

This thing works great and is a time saver! I used to have to get in the pool and vacuum it out for a couple of hours.. now I just plug this in and let it do its job. Worth the money 💯

1st day had it in the pool worked great after that not so much won’t stay upright keeps going over on its side..so frustrating!

I love these automatic vacuums! We had a ladybug for several years then it stopped moving so I ordered this whale. I will run it in my pool for about 5 hours-you can even let it run over night. Definitely saves a lot of time from actually having to vacuum. I think it’s a bit overpriced for sure but it definitely works great!

Works great. This is our second one and they both work great.
