Easy to put together
Don’t know why people say this item is thin and Bradley constructed and that putting together was a pain. I can say completely the opposite. Strongly constructed, a breeze to put together, and holds a burning fire for hours without any warping or damage whatsoever. Recommend getting the cover to keep the rain off whenNot in use to protect against rusting but to be honest my fire pit still has what ever protection it had when I first got it. Sturdy and durable

Great value for a somewhat portable fire pit. Simple and complete.
Our new fire pit arrived on time and in good condition having been packed well and with all parts included. I've used it about 5 times already and it works great. The included ash screen stops any burning embers with openings a bit less than 1/4 inch so even with a strong gust of wind, the approximately 1/8 inch ash that can escape at all are all extinguished before they can travel more than 2 feet out of the fire pit. I'm very cautious of fire hazards and this is a great comfort. I still have a charged hose at the ready just in case, but that's just me. The cutouts in the body of the pit, present moons and stars are also lined with the same wire screening. Some companies forget this part. VERY important for fire safety. The black paint almost immediately burns off so it takes on that well used broken in appearance. I personally like the look so don't consider this a problem at all. One could repaint the pit with high temp automotive engine block paint or similar to keep it looking new. I won't bother. I also got the cover for this fire pit which fits perfectly. You do need to wait for the thing to cool down before putting it on of course. It also has a very small drain hole in the bottom for rain or whatever as well as a pressed wavy metal bottom to let a bit of air under the wood fuel. It didn't look tall enough to do the job but the draft / ventilation seems to work great. I like it for the money.

Big Firepit at a Hefty Price; Bottom Rusts Out Fast
The item’s online images match with the item I received. The stated specifications also are accurate.Assembly: The box is necessarily large, to accommodate the bowl, and it’s somewhat heavy, more than 30 pounds. It’s a manageable one-man lift, but would be easier with two. It would be smart to assemble the item where it’s going to be situated, but you can carry it to the location relatively easily, one person or two.Assembly is totally intuitive. I had the item assembled in about 15 minutes. None of it is difficult, just a bit tedious with small screws and nuts. Tools are not included; you’ll need a medium size Philips screwdriver and a small wrench or pliers; a ratchet works well. All of the hardware is the same size, so there is no having to figure out which bolt, screw, nut, washer to use where; all you get is screws and nuts.Previous firepits I’ve purchased, including a prior model from Sunnydaze, came with a BBQ-like grill on the bottom, which aided burning and protected the bottom of the firepit. This item does not come with one. There are four metal ridges to give a small amount of distance between the fire/coals and the bottom, and there is a single drilled hole in the center of the bottom, likely for drainage, not for airflow. The online product copy says “…thick steel construction…” No, not really. Think more like 1/16”, tops. I always drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the firepit to aid in drainage if any water gets in, and to help with oxygen supply for the fire. A cover is always a good idea for your firepit, especially this one--see below. The outside ring serves as a handle, so two people can easily move it, although don't try to move it at all when you've got fire going. This also serves as a basic sort of safety ring, although when the fire is going this ring gets more than hot enough to burn you. A better design would be to make this ring on the same plane as the edge of the firepit and provide a simple lattice structure with it so you can set things on it, like a campfire pot to heat coffee, water, cider, etc.Documentation: You get a one-page “Assembly and Instruction Sheet.” The assembly instructions are good and easy to follow, but really aren’t needed. You gets lots of warnings, my favorite being that you have to use this item outdoors. There is no contact information whatsoever for Sunnydaze. The packing slip on the outside of the box was from Serenity Health & Décor of Bethlehem, PA, complete with a shipping department address, but that’s it for customer contact info. Hopefully you won't have a problem that required contacting Sunnydaze.Online product copy says there’s a one-year warranty on the item, but if you can’t contact Sunnydaze, how are you going to make this work?Rust. I have a cover, which I always have on this item if it's not in use. I advise to get one. But, these firepits--I'm on my fourth Sunnydaze firepit and the third one of this particularl model, rust out surprisingly quickly. I mean, if you use this thing relatively often for just a year, that's maybe 3 times per month, the bottom of this is going to be gone within that year. I say that because that's exactly my experience with these things. I buy them for the size and design, which I like, but I do not like the way they rust so quickly. I'm trying fireproof paint, and may go to a third-party metal mesh for the bottom to try to squeeze another year out of this thing, as the sides and feet seem to weather relatively well.Price: This item is currently coming in at $239; that's $20 more than just a couple of years ago. This is a big firepit, sure, but it just doesn’t seem to be worth this price. I’m just not seeing design, materials, and packaging adding up to the price of this item. But then again, I bought it, as I like a big firepit, and this was available here. You decide. And, there is the bottom rust problem, as I described.Bottom Line: This is a big firepit, easy to assemble and get into action quickly. It’ll hold a big fire, and comes with a nice spark arrestor, if you’d like to use it. It’s a large item, and it seems to me to be somewhat overpriced.

Big, easy to assemble, holding up great so far! Shipper/carrier not so great tho!
The size and look is great! The performance so far has been really good. Happy with the product!Only issue was shipping, the carrier dropped it and delivered it with a big hole in the box and sure enough the fire pit had a big dent in it. I used a rubber mallet to bang it out. I did not want to contend with an exchange on such a big item!

Nice aesthetic, came dented and scratched ,poor quality and not worth the money.
Updated review.Upon leaving the below review Sunnydaze to my surprise stepped up and offered a full refund on the product without my even asking.I was very impressed by the way they handled this and would deal with them again. Great customer service. It is a very appealing unit aesthetically, easy to put together and a nice size. However, it is of poor quality for the price and was delivered scratched and dented.I saw an identical unit at home hardware two days ago that was $257. You may want to google it.If we weren’t in need of one for the weekend, I’d have returned this!....not good quality at all.Totally not worth the money!

Bottom rusted our in less than 2 years
I purchased this product for my wife less than two years ago. we maintained the unit and stored it properly in winter months. In moving it last week we found the bottom cracked open almost all the way across the body of the fire pit.Poor quality metal was used,NOT WORTH THE MONEY SPENT BE CAREFULL

Large and neat at first but poor rust resistance. Lasted less than 2 years.
Decent and large fireplace. Unfortunately not very rust resistant and after buying it in September 2021 now in March 2023 is rusted to the point that floor has holes in it and one of the legs collapsed completely as the metal around it rusted out. Looking for a more rust resistant or stainless steel fireplace next.
