long sleeves, washable
These are just like all the other ove-glove type gloves. High heat resistance and about as much dexterity as you'll get with any glove of similar properties. I like the extra length of the glove around the wrist, good for reaching over large grills or BBQs where there is a lot of heat and also protects if you accidentally rest something on wrist (I know lots of people get burns on wrist for this reason - paying too much attention to hand and not noticing things go on wrist). I mostly use these when deep frying and and moving big heavy hot cast iron cookware around. As with all gloves, if you expose these to heat for long enough it will start to come through glove. And do not use when wet. That said, I also like that these are machine washable. Just make sure to dry completely before use. Got another pair for my parents to use. Everybody should have one of these or similar instead of just a towel or mat - safer to know your hands completely protected vs potential for fingers to slip out from under towel etc.

name misleading, more like oven mitt
bbq glove name suggests that it is one of those gloves I see on BBQ shows where the chef handles hot brisket right off the grill, that is waterproof. This is more like an oven mitt. But it does that really well. It is comfortable and able to withstand the heat. It seems like its made of some porous fabric type of material, which is why I'm not sure I want to handle food itself, but i was pretty comfortable holding a hot pan right off the grill with no issue. I can see using this while grilling outside and comfortably using the utensils because it has fingers instead of a mitt style hand. Overall I like the coverage and comfort and flexible usability of it.

Hot fingers
I used these once so far and will definitely keep them because gloves are much safer (for me) than potholders. I baked bread on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees and was able to take the cookie sheet out of the oven safely and put it back for another five minutes and then take it out and put it on top of the stove. I did feel the heat on my fingers but it was reasonably comfortable. I also make bread (in a heavy pot) at 450 degrees, and I'm confident these gloves will let me handle my hot pot safely. I would be wary of picking up a smoldering coal, though! The gloves go far up my arm and I feel protected. I think these are a good value so long as you keep your expectations reasonable.

These are excellent gloves to have in any kitchen or at any backyard barbecue/grill.
I wondered how long it would take some enterprising manufacturer to come up with oven GLOVES. All that was available for years were oven mitts and pot holders. These are a lot safer because a person can use their fingers and establish and maintain a firm grip on the (very) hot items that they're preparing in the kitchen or on the grill.I'm not interested in 'guinea pigging' myself to test the manufacturer's claims, so I'm satisfied that these are heat resistant up to the 1472 degrees they advertise. I doubt that anything I'll be broiling, baking or grilling will put me in danger of testing that threshold.

Less bulky than other gloves
I bought two different brands to compare. Theses were better. Less bulky than the other one meant more dexterity for the grill tools. Also I needed the longer cuff for wrist protection reaching back to the last row of the grill. They do eventually heat up holding hot stuff (300-400 degree grill rack) but it took a few seconds so I was able to remove the rack I needed to before it got too hot to hold.Overall I kept these and returned the others because I liked the fit. I have a medium sized hand with long fingers so these fit great.

Ok Heat Resistant
The gloves are good especially when reaching across heat. However the amount of resistance should not be taken for granted. You can get burned pretty quickly if lifting a grate or picking up your smoker box. The silicone pads work great, but the majority of the glove isn't protected by the pads. There is a heat chart and identifies how resistant in time the gloves are. I should have paid attention to that chart. Bottom line is the gloves are good, but care must be taken using them. Do not believe you can't get burned, you can.

Love these - perfect
I burn myself a lot using regular pot holders. I've many that said they were heat resistant, but really were not. These gloves are perfect. I can reach into the oven, remove the lit from a cast iron pan (450 degrees) and no issue. The length protects my arms completely. I have small hands and was concerned they might be awkward, but no issue. They are not snug, but I have no issues handling items comfortablely. My husband is also using on the BBQ and he's very happy too. Higly recommend.

Very Helpful
I am a Scout leader and I bought these because our Scouts struggle with not burning themselves when cooking over a camp stove. I got these thinking they would use these in addition to the pot holders to keep from accidentally touching hot handles. To my surprise they can use these instead of the pot holders! Our cook just puts these on and doesn't have to worry about the handles being too hot to touch. I will be buying more of these for the rest of our Scouts!

Good grilling protection
I'm able to change the grates when they are hot, add coals, etc without worrying about the heat scorching hands. Easy to clean if needed bu throwing in the washing machine
