After having seen one of these at a local shop and checking out their awesome IG page, I decided without hesitation to order one of these for my 10 y/o for his bday. He’s like most kids these days that are into electronics far more than us parents would like. But he’s also very creative and crafty. I thought this would be a great gift to channel both his video game interests and his art interests. With all the movie and video game inspired templates (in box and online), it was sure to be a hit...AND IT ABSOLUTELY WAS! He couldn’t wait to break it open and make his own pixel art. I was overwhelming surprised by the value. That was my biggest concern...”was I going to get enough”. I ended up getting the deluxe kit, the add-on pixels, and an additional board. There are a ton of pixels in both the deluxe and add-in kit. They were very generous with those. This is great because who likes building things only to run out of certain colors. It’s also great because let’s be honest, stuff gets lost. My son loves the arcade blue in the add in pack. So you can never have too many...and the amount provided is great! I purchased the extra board so he and I could create together. I also thought it would be cool to have if he wanted to make a “larger” pix pic (like a dragon) or if my niece wanted to play and create as well. To round out the review, I give it an A++. Great quality, huge variety, inspires creativity and hands-on play, and is just all around a really REALLY cool product. This would make a wonderful gift for the hard buy for person on your list; or even something for yourself to tap into that creative therapy we all need from time to time. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do.

I bought this craft kit for my son on a whim and he has been enjoying creating his own Minecraft designs on it. He likes how he can create his favorite gaming characters and I like how he is flexing with his own creativity, and is off electronics for a bit. I would describe the product as a sophisticated Lite Brite since he has already changed his design twice and it looks like it’s lit up sometimes even though it’s not. The reusability factor is a big perk, so its worth the buy!

My 11 yr old son was very disappointed at first because he couldn't get the pieces to stay on the pixel board. After a short time he figured it out. The pieces must be inserted sideways and then turn to face forward :) Happy kid..Happy mom... He already wanted to build other designs.. Will post again..

U bought this for my 11 year old for Christmas, and she lives it. It is easy for her to put together and do on her own. I do wish they included a sturdier box to keep all the pieces in, but otherwise it's pretty decent for the price

So complicated to use. Not fun at all... very disappointing! We used it once in 6 months :-(
