Absolutely Stunning Light! Please read the description and reviews before purchasing. This light does not come with a battery or outlet adapter. It is very clear and I am disappointed in the people leaving 1 star reviews because they don't know how to read. I've gone through two or three different strobe lighting kits throughout the past five years and never really enjoyed using them. I'm realizing now that I need continuous lighting and this Yongnuo was the perfect light to begin with. I love the fact that I can utilize the RGB spectrum to add pops of, or contrasting, color like in the image I provided of my friend Stephen (for gear and settings used see the bottom of the review).The light is overall brighter than I expected and the battery life with even just an NP-F550 seems very strong so far. The NP-f950 feels very overkill on the light, but the mount holds it just fine. The provided filter works great for creating warm moody tones with the daylight balanced bulbs. Lastly, the remote functions so much better than I could've imagined. The distance it can communicate with the light is impressive, even through some walls. I have yet to push the connectivity to it's limit. A huge upgrade from the 1st and the 2nd generation of the YN360 RGB lights, output is improved and having effects is a huge plus. Actually it's the cheapest/highest output RGB light with effects on the market. Your alternatives are atomcube RX1 or BOLING P1 or Falconeyes F7 which all are more expensive and give less output for both RGB and daylight beads. And being small isn't really a plus for them as this light is already small as well and can fit in car dash boards and/or anywhere. Can be packed in your camera bag or light stand bag.Also never buy variable temperature lights, they always produce less output than dedicated daylight lights. Even if you need 3200k output you could use the accompanied tungesten snap on gel. And still have a more powerful daylight LED light at you disposal when needed which is basically more often than a tungesten light.

Really great affordable LED lights, very bright with a whole range of RGB colors and decent lighting effects. I’d recommend getting the version that’s 5600k only, not the Bi-color. It will be brighter and it comes with an ok CTO filter. If you need tungsten colors from it add a gel.Be sure to buy a battery, the 970s would get you a lot of use time, or a cable to plug it into the wall.And think about how you’re going to mount it, the 1/4 female screw is useful, but the wand is very long and I could see it breaking if too much pressure or force is applied to it i.e. somebody bumps into it on a light stand or some other force hits it.

I have yet to use this, they fail to mention that you MUST buy batteries. A huge nuisance if you buy this planning on using it right away.It's also a bummer that you can't plug it in... I guess I'll need multiple sets of batteries so I can swap them out if I plan to use this for an extended period.PLEASE change the description to help others avoid this.I may update this review once I get a chance to use it.

This light is extremely flexible. I’ve only got two issues with it: (1) it doesn’t get very dim. Using this light as a key light at night is something of an issue because of it. (2) the remote. Four friends of mine use this light - ALL four friends of mine have reported that the remote gave out on them before too long. Mine hasn’t yet, but I’ve only owned mine for about two months. My issue with it is how incredibly touchy it is. If I hand this to someone, and they’re not extremely careful, my 5600k light all of a sudden turns bright magenta.This isn’t a pro or con, but that orange “gel” that it comes with is… I won’t say useless, but I haven’t found a use for it yet. I’ve tried to use it during a sunset and that didn’t work out too well. Thus far, it appears to be unnecessary clutter - but it weighs nothing, so I’m keeping it for now.Aside from that, the battery life is astounding. I work events that last 8-10 hours and I come home with around 25% battery left.It’s great for a run and gun approach to photography. You’ll definitely get a better light quality out of a point source light (or strobe) with a soft box modifier, but this option is far less bulky, far lighter, and because of these factors, it’s extremely mobile. It has a 1/4 screw on the bottom; I’ve seen some put a little handgrip that doubles as a tripod. It can be used as a key light, but I usually use it for a fill light or an accent light. Pairing this with a strobe produces some pretty awesome results.I had to sacrifice the extra water bottle I used to bring with me to shoots. This guy is definitely worth that sacrifice.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this light a lot. Plan to buy a few more. It far exceeded my expectations. I recently used it for a night time run & gun music video shoot (with the app on police lights) about police brutality. (I attached a snippet) & it worked a lot better than one could ask for at the price point. Highly recommended for the budget shooter.

This DOES NOT come with batteries, which some people seem to really hate. But I have NPFs for a lot of other gadgets so it's not a big deal for me.Light is super lightweight, colors are awesome. I bought two, one was defective - had no green LEDs but customer service was helpful and is issuing me a full refund on the defective light.The remote is really nice, does maybe come off a little easier than I would like, I'm afraid I'm gonna lose it. But it's super intuitive to use for the basic settings. And the program settings are perfect - especially when you have more than one at the same time.
