I bought this in 2022, now 2024 and it is still running great. I would buy again.

All parts fit perfectly and chainsaw started right up after rebuild. Great value as new saw or stihl service rebuild would cost $400 to $600 more. It was missing threaded Stud that goes into head that holds the top cover on. It would be great if you could send me this minor yet needed part. Thanks Sam

Since Stihl doesn't offer a kit for my 026 saw (that belonged to my dad), I decided to order this one. The product itself is good but there are no instructions included. I'm very mechanically inclined so it was not too much to figure out and the saw runs great again. I had to determine the piston ring orientation and how to get them compressed and into the cylinder. I'm not a small engine repairman but I do fix my own stuff with the tools I have.There were some parts included I didn't need as I did not split the crankcase...just a top end rebuild. One of the local Stihl dealers had the same kit for $130 so it was well worth the cost for this one.

After working with this for about 2 evenings and little to no luck on the starts, I bought a compression tester for this and a vacuum tester for the carb. I could get it to start rarely but then rough idle and then would cut off after 20 or so seconds. Could not start it immediately after.Tried to work on carb tune but after seeing this could only hold 110 PSI max compression, I decided to return. Last time I work with a Chinese clone. Can't get time I wasted back on a piece of garbage like this. My advice, just pay the money and get either the Meteor or Japanese versions. Maybe just hone your OEM and sand any bad areas + new rings.

We will see how long it lasts but great kit for the value.

This product fit my old Stihl 026 saw perfectly without any modifications at all, and runs perfect.

The parts are high quality and were a perfect replacement for the original 026 cylinder and piston. Good upgrade with compression release. Now, easy starting with or without compression release. Highly recommend. The wrist pin circlips included in the kit were not used. Be sure to order Stihl OEM circlips as they are far easier to install.
