WOW! THESE ARE GREAT BRUSHES. I'm a 68 year old retired Art teacher and these brushes were a happy surprise. VERY WELL Made and a great feel. This set is perfect as I'm currently in a Portrait class right now, never too old to learn! Called the company to compliment them on their product and got a good feel of their customer relations. I'm hooked ........watercolor brushes are next

Weird texture for painting
These don’t have a great texture for painting. They’re kind of stiff and scratchy - even with a bit of oil rubbed in. I’ve only used them a few times as I really don’t like the feel of them

Great product for the price!
These seem to be very durable and reliable. They don't go exactly back to their pre-use shape after drying, but when loaded with paint or damp with water, they're perfect. Will order again!

Terrific moderately priced hogs hair bristle brushes
I have tried many different brands of hogs bristle brushes over the years and these are my favorites. I use a dry brush scumbling technique which is hard on any brush and these hold up as well as many more expensive ones I’ve tried in past. They also are more resistant to shedding than most. Sooo annoying to find loose bristles in the finished layer. The filberts are just the right shape to suit me. I will purchase theses again ( I already have 4 times)

Hairs splayed like crazy!
I was so excited to get these for details on my large pieces of work. The filbert shape is my absolute favorite! Boy, have I been disappointed. The minute I rinsed them to prep for use, the hairs stuck out like they'd been struck by lightening. I thought, well... they'll stay in place with medium on them. NOPE! I had really high hopes for these but it was not meant to be, I suppose.

Great Brushes, my absolute every day oil painting brush
These are my favorite brushes, I use them daily. I paint and produce dozens of demonstrations on my site, thepaintingteacher.com, and I'm probably holding one of these brushes about 90% of the time. Durable, high quality, and can take a beating, I've yet to wear one out... but with bristles that allow you to carefully work the paint however you want. Great brushes, my favorites... my "go to brushes".

Hog hair brushes are to soft
The hairs are soft should be stiffer. The bristle hairs are poorly made
