Lyle's Squeezy Golden Syrup, 325g

Q: I could only find this in the dessert syrup bottle locally.and was wondering if this is exactly the same as the Golden syrup to use for pecan pie?

Yes...I use 1 cup of Lyles Golden Syrup in replacement of 1 cup of corn syrup in my Jack Daniels pecan pies. Not only does it remove the corn syrup aspect that many folks wish to avoid, but it makes for a far superior filling in terms of taste! Of course the cost per pie increases, but that's the price of perfection :)

Q: Is lyles golden dessert syrup the same as lyles golden syrup for baking?

I believe it is, it's just in a plastic bottle rather than the tin. I've used it for baking.

Q: Can this be used for making Gummy Candy?

Have no idea. If regular sugar can be used to make them, then probably. But would be an expensive way to accomplish it.
