Excellent Intro and How-To, to the VA World
Michael provides tons of value in every thing that he does, and this book is no different. It's easy and fun to read with practical takeaways. The book opens by explaining in detail why you need a virtual assistant, a VA's benefits over a traditional employee, and what a VA can actually do. For someone new to the concept of a VA, which I think many of us are, this is powerful. The book also contains very tactical applications, such as answering common questions and how you can get started with your very own VA. The inclusion of the specific tools that Michael uses in his business is worth the time and money, just by itself.Michael is a successful, highly respected business man, author and leader. I love learning from him, whether it's about platform building, leadership, productivity - or virtual assistants. Add to that, that this book is only $2.99 - it's a no-brainer. Pick it up and you'll enjoy learning about a new and better way of getting stuff done.

A great resource - cue the criticisms.
It is a very good read when it comes to figuring out some of what you can do with a virtual assistant. I will warn you ahead of time without looking at the reviews of others that there will be some that will say that this is an infomercial for one particular virtual assistant. That would be a fair criticism since the recommendations of what to do fit very well with this particular company. Does that make it a bad book? No. It is a great introduction to what having a virtual assistant means to a business owner.I have gone on to hire a virtual assistant.

Super-helpful for someone already using a Virtual Executive Asst.
Purchased this book after seeing Michael Hyatt's blog post about it early in the week. Full disclosure: As a solo-practice consultant, coach and author, I get a ton of value from Michael Hyatt. In fact, I already am a client of EA Help because I was drowning in details and administrative burden from the success of my own book. Based on Hyatt's personal experience and recommendation, I investigated EA Help back in the spring and have been a very happy client since. After reading the promotional material for the book, I had the feeling this would be $3 well spent! And it was. Reading both the list of functions a virtual assistant can perform and the chapter on tools and apps Hyatt uses with his assistants provided great value to me. I was reminded about the pain I was in before engaging the help of an executive assistant, and also took notice of areas where I could do a better job offloading work. The subtitle of the book keeps running through my mind: "offload the work you hate and focus on what you do best." That pretty much sums it up. I am suggesting this book to several friends who are either executives trying to do it all themselves or entrepreneurs who are not spending enough time on high-payoff activities.

It is interesting, but pretty basic
This book is recommended for small business or people that is working independently and is looking for a way to be more productive by finding additional help (hands) to perform low value tasks for the business. it shows a practical a simple way to manage this scenario and some examples of tools that can help on this process. To be honest I am not impressed with the book, since it explain things that you might know as a common sense. It might be interesting read for the people that have the paradigm that having an employee means have him/her full time and in the same location, which might be too expensive.

I agree!
I may be wrong, but anyone looking into getting a VA (or EA per eahelp) will not necessarily need this book. :) They probably already agree with every point the book makes. I did!Unfortunately, although eahelp is probably the most top-notch VA source out there, it is not for everyone. I have a little web design company and can't afford their prices yet.Don't get me wrong... it's not like the whole book is about eahelp... not at all! In fact, this book is a GREAT resource to give to your boss or someone you're trying to convince of the need of a VA. This book is more than a simple article on the topic, and the author is a solid professional and big voice in that world.I would recommend this to 1) anyone who has the budget for additional, quality help, 2) anyone who's trying to get their manager/boss to allow them some additional help, and 3) the people who are not yet convinced of the need or who have never heard of a VA.

Just when I felt like I was drowning!
When I saw that Michael Hyatt had written this wonderful guide for hiring a virtual assistant, it took me about two seconds to head over to Amazon to buy a copy. I had heard about virtual assistants and how they could be helpful, but reading about a real person's experience with actually hiring and using them was extremely valuable and inspiring. In this easy to read guide, I learned what to look for in both a VA company and in the person I want to work with. I also gained clarity about what sort of tasks I could assign a VA and why I can let these go while retaining the things that I am truly gifted in. I would recommend this book to anyone even wondering what a virtual assistant can do for them!

Worth the price
The info is thin but decent. I got a couple things out of text (easily read in 2 hours or less). I liked the list of tools and learned one new trick that might solve some problems with our team. The biggest take away-from the read is that it drove home the importance of delegating. It put some things in perspective for me.

Useful if you are thinking to hire a VA
Much of what I expected but some excellent tips and confirmations. Can’t argue with the value for money at the price.

short, simple ans so effective.
Ok, I'll admit it, I am addicted to Michael Hyatt's no-nonsense real world content. Whether on his blog, podcast or books such his most recent one, I just keep on getting something out of it consistently. In this new practical book, you'll probably connect to the premise immediately: if you are overwhelmed, you do not want to push harder but to stop and ask yourself: would you benefit from a Virtual assistant? Many of us have been pondering about how to better manage our time, tame the overwhelm feeling we have at times while realizing how we secretly "know" this is not going to go away.Well, it can and that is what Michael guides you through in the process of hiring a virtual assistant: how to assess what to delegate, how to find the right virtual assistant and how to make it happen (technology recommendations ) included.A quick read that could change your lifeDavid Salerno
