Good for papaya salad
My wife is Thai and makes a lot of papaya salad. This mortar works well. She was a bit unhappy with the size and wish we bought a larger one. The price was very high and we have since found larger ones for less at literally every Asian food mart we’ve been to. This one’s build quality is nice, and it works great none the less. If you don’t have access to Asian food stores, this is a good buy.

Mortar pestle
It's wide for holding a lot more than most mortar. The pestle is a very good size also.

If you LOVE green papaya salad, this is the perfect tool!!
I love green papaya salad! So having an extra large mortar for this type of salad is a must have! Great for feeding a large crowd (or just for me) is super!
