This works quite well with longer tire valves and I'm happy with it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the recess for the valve stem is quite deep and I was unable to use it for the very purpose for which I purchased it: connecting my compressor to a portable air tank to refill it. It takes a long time to completely refill the tank because as the portable tank pressure approaches the compressor tank pressure, the flow rate drops exponentially. Unfortunately, the Shrader valve to fill the tank is only about a half inch long and that's not deep enough to work in this chuck. I'd recommend buying a tire valve extension to go with this for any short valve stems.

I switched to a different chuck after my 3rd wheeling trip with these.They slip off and leak fairly easily, but that could be due to my short metal valve stems...

I ordered this item to help inflate my Jeep tires when re-inflating them for highway use. The unit works as advertised, seems to be of good guality and I am pleased with how it works and what I see. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to eliminate the chore of holding an air chuck onto a tire stem while inflating their tires.

If you simply pop it on, as it is supposed to work, the thing leaks. You must pop it on, then twist it to screw it on tight to get a seal (even at 20psi) . After that, you can't released it until you unscrew it a bit.And, DO NOT USE ON ALUMINUM TPS VALVES ... yep - destroyed one of mine trying to use this and had to carefully clean the threads.

I got this chuck because I was tired of holding the chuck to the valve stem when inflating tires that are completely flat. For topping up tires it's ok, but hold a chuck on the tire for 10 minutes is a pain in the neck. This chuck creates a perfect seal and stays put on the valve stem just like its supposed to. I'm very happy with this chuck.
