Emile HenryMade In France 9 Inch Pie Dish, White

Purchased in 2019 as I needed a 2 inch deep pan especially for my chicken pot pie. This pan is the bomb. Any double crust pie works - fruit pies, lattice and blind bakes are easy. Never lets me down. Refrigerator to 375f oven and a quick broil when needed. Still looks brand spanking new. Cooks very evenly and I have had other ceramic pans that definitely did not. It is darn near perfect as to most recipes but I have learned to add about 3 minutes over the time called for when the dish asked for is metal or glass. The sides are not thicker as with some, so you don’t need to worry (if you know what I mean by that, then you understand it’s a good thing). It came with a warranty that I can’t believe I will ever need to exercise, but as Forrest Gump said, “one less thing and that’s good.”

I have other Emile Henry pieces and love them for their quality and size. The pie dish, like all their pieces, made in France, are no exception. It feels beautiful in the hand and looks so pretty that when I’m not making a pie I keep it on the counter with fruit in it.Other brands just don’t y have the nicely designed edge of these.Baking wise, it cooks a pie so nicely but you’ll need to know since it’s a thick heavy pottery the bottom crust can come out undercooked if you don’t account for it. I will sometimes blind bake the bottom a bit even for pies I won’t usually just for that reason. Plus bake it on the lowest rack you can- or even the bottom of the over if it’s flat and doesn’t have the heating element - at a higher temp to get a good bake on the crust.It’s a life long piece and you won’t be disappointed.

This is a splurge worthy pie dish! The stoneware provides excellent and even heating and it can be put in the microwave, freezer, oven, or dishwasher for versatility. It makes a beautiful pie or quiche even more beautiful with the presentation of the fluted edges. Would make an excellent gift for any baking enthusiast!

Beautiful bright ruby red.Elligant scalloped top truly a deep dish, heavy duty in weight and is ceramic type.Made my quiche Lorraine that always over flows in a regular so called deep dish.This deep dish did the job no over flow with favorite French recipe. Can't wait to try other recipes. This is made in France and is top of the line.

This is a perfect pie plate.

This gem is used daily in our table top oven. Shaped for pies, however I use it instead for baking salmon, potatoes, sausage, bacon, and anything else I can think of. Food is always perfectly cooked. I’ve used this since 2016 and it remains in super condition. We’ve since acquired many Emile Henry products, and enjoy them, but this one is a stand out. To clean, I fill partially with warm water and let it sit for a bit, clean out any debris, then into the dishwasher it goes.

I needed a deep dish pie plate quickly just before Thanksgiving. So did a lot of people I guess because there weren't any at reasonable prices. I had no choice but to spend a lot and went with a brand I had heard is good.It came nicely packed, but I did ask myself "its this all it is" when I looked at it. Almost $40 seems like a whole lot of money for something I don't use that often.I baked a pecan pie in it and it was easier to get out of the pan than any others I have made in other pie plates. Not four times easier. I don't see myself investing in any more Emile Henry items unless I am desperate again.

I am in love with this pie dish! It makes all pies look just amazing. The crust is always baked to perfection as well. Can't go wrong with Emile Henry!I've been using this for about 9 months now, and thought I'd leave an update. It looks just as beautiful as the day I received it, and it's been used A LOT! As with ALL Emile Henry products, clean-up is a dream! I've done Chicken Pot Pie, apple, pumpkin, berry, cream pies and quiches in it, and nothing EVER sticks. Because it's made of Burgundy Clay, it holds the heat extremely well, so you can still enjoy your pies warm without having it affect your crust or making it soggy. I've got several pieces of Emile Henry, and I love them all! Don't hesitate to buy this beauty - I honestly wish I'd done it sooner.

Cooked an apple pie and used a crust shield--it turned out perfect!The glazing on this ceramic pie plate is even, very smooth, and quite attractive as the pie gets consumed.

This is a beautiful pie plate - but after the first set arrived broken, I requested a return. I sent back the originals and received the replacement but ended up being double charged as they said the return was not received. Very disappointing. Hope this can be fixed as it really is a great pie plate!
