JUST DONT BUY IT. IT IS NOT TRULY THE ORIGINAL AND NOTHING NEW OR UPDATED IN THIS.
I bought this book because it stated it was an updated edition. But except for a diffferent binding and a few pictures included here and there it has nothing to it. It does not do any justice to the original written by Maulana Maududi, or it actually does a dis-service to the original. There were many places where in an effort to rephrase sentences that were in original the meaning itself is lost or misleading. Maybe there was some very poor editing involved or no proper proof reading done. JUST DONT BUY IT. IT IS NOT TRULY THE ORIGINAL AND NOTHING NEW OR UPDATED IN THIS.If you try you can find the original in digital form. Compare both to see it for yourself...

Good read for New to Islam
A very good summary of all the tenets of Islam. It clarifies many issues that people face regarding Islam and removes misunderstandings.

This book is amazing. The details in the explanation changes your perspective on what you have been told abot islam. In the first 11 pages I was in shock. The best part is you can actually referenc the Quran and find it all!!! Perfect Sense!!! There is no limit to the positive recommendation on this book!!!

EXCELLENT FOR DAWAH- NEW & OLD MUSLIMS & NON-MUSLIMS AND EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS
Excellent for dawah and new & old Muslims. Educational & easy reading. I bought two and a Christian co-worker was appreciative of the copy I gave him and he is currently reading it. STRONGLY Recommend for non-Muslims & Muslims and good for use in educational settings Towards Understanding IslamTowards Understanding Islam
