Three Stooges Assembly Manual
Normally I don't bother with reviews, but I just had to in this case. The grill itself is well made, heavy duty steel and good hardware and attachments. I am no dummy, but I made an error with the igniter which was stuffed in the fan/pellet hopper box, I followed the printed instructions but missed the picture of the igniter assembly going into the fire box. There were no written instructions for this part, no I didn't miss them, just none period. So I put it together and tested it as it said and the bottom of the pellet hopper got real hot. Not having owned a smoker or pellet grill before, I had no idea what the problem was, but knew it was FUBAR... Called the Z Grill people and got a message that they were too busy to speak with me (pretty much the same as every other company out there), but they said leave a message. I did and the called back hours later. I had already figured out the issue by then and fixed it. But the direction/manual is written by Chinese people and translated into English by Curly and is the worst part of the whole thing. I have smoked one item so far and it ran out of pellets while smoking so today I will finish it. Will most likely end up with jerky, but I like that too. EDIT: I have found one issue that I wanna pass along, the bottom of the grill has a hole and catch can for grease, unfortunately it doesn’t work on my grill. The grease seemes to catch in a corner and drip from the seam and puddle on the ground. Thank the Lord I use it on a patio instead of a deck. I seriously doubt that it would come off of wood.

Amazing Grill!
This grill is fantastic! From assembly to using, its pretty simple. I have been a charcoal guy my whole life, and I decided to switch to pellets on the recommendation of a Co-worker, So glad I did!! This grill is almost a set it and forget it cooker. I smoked my first rack of ribs on it, and they turned out perfect, meat fell of the bone! It works great for cooking hamburgers and hotdogs too. The temperature does fluctuate by as much as 10 degrees, but that could also be due to weather conditions (wind, temp. etc). The minimal amount of pellets it uses to heat with is surprising, no more trips to the store for charcoal multiple times per year! I would highly recommend Z Grills!! They currently don't have a cover for it, but its in the works. Happy happy happy!!!

Please Read before purchase !!!!
So I made sure to get three or four cook off’s on this thing before writing a review. So I ran into an issue after my 3rd cook, the fan stopped working, contacted zgrills customer service , and they sent me a WHOLE new Hopper ! So yea they are outstanding as far as customer support. As far as the grill works it’s phenomenal it works great just how it should, as far as the 600 model goes, temp control is a lil wonky, runs about 15 degrees higher, for the salmon the sweet spot was on 160, smoke setting kept dragging me to 180-200 so I had to leave a tray of ice to keep it at 160-175 for 6 hours salmon. Definitely not a pellet smoker you can turn on and walk away from, always be around or check every 30 min, but great smoker. Everything works phenomenal, just has some issues keeping a steady temp, could also be the size of the unit, maybe the 700 is better that temp control

Waited to write a Review
I read the reviews and noted the comments about assembly difficulties. While it takes time it was not difficult. If you're not reasonably skilled at assembly then invite a friend who is to help. The directions in the unit I received were sufficiently clear to understand. The reason I did not give this product 5 stars is because it stopped working correctly after a couple uses. The service center called me back within an hour, correctly diagnosed the problem and sent me a replacement part that arrived in two days. It has worked perfectly since. To me five stars is no problem and works as advertised. This product had a problem and the manufacturer remedied the problem. I like the product. I purchased a recipe book and the meats are turning out wonderful.

Don't be fooled!!!
The grill is wonderful!!! The standing rib roast we cooked on it was absolutely delicious. BUT.....the cover that was "supposed" to come with it for FREE, did not come. I had to call the manufacturer and was told the cover was "in production" and would be shipped to me sometime in April of 2020. We'll see if it comes. Meantime, the grill is sitting on the deck in the elements. Gonna have to cover it up with a tarp I guess until/if the cover comes as promised.

Great Value
This grill does exactly what it's intended to do. I've had it about 3 weeks now, so I can't say much for longevity, but so far, it has met my expectations. It's basically a Traeger grill for about 60-70% of the cost. I mostly have used it for smoking, and it does a great job at that. It works great for grilling as well, but I prefer grilling over charcoal flames. The temperature control is very good, but the placement of the probe inside the grill is a bit too close to the lid opening, giving it a slightly erroneous reading if it's windy out. They could make a few adjustments to this unit to improve it's overall accuracy, but it's close enough that you're not going to notice much of a difference in cooking time. Overall, I give this a 4 instead of a 5 because of the temperature probe location. But you can't beat the value on this unit if you're in the market for a pellet grill/smoker. Assembly is pretty basic, but it'll take even the more advanced person about 2 hours to put together. A good chunk of the time spent in assembly is just getting the parts out of the box and cleaning up all those little bits of styrofoam that cling to all the metal surfaces. Once you have everything laid out, it takes about an hour or so to get it all screwed together. A power drill will come in handy, just be sure not to over torque anything.
