Yum
Excellent flavor and a nice bit of sweetness after dinner. Tastes like hot chocolate but not too strong.

Again - measuring is the thing
PROS - adds Kenyan purple tea, giftable, the tin is a nice one, and this is Fair Trade.CON - pricey for the size of the container.Of the 2 brands of husk tea I've tried, this is the best-packaged. It's one I would choose to give as a gift. The little spoon was a cute addition but not really necessary. I ended up measuring with something else. The aroma is not as strong as with another brand I bought to try but it comes out more with steeping. When I measured as directed, I found the flavor in an 8-ounce cup to be too weak. I played around with measurements and have now got it down for both my small and large mugs. The best thing about this is that it can be drunk on its own - no sugar or milk needed. And I can't drink coffee or regular tea without adding something.I paid more for this one but it does add Kenyan purple tea - which is supposed to be good for you. I would probably buy this again just because of the Fair Trade (and the Kenyan tea in it). By the way, You can see bits of the rose petals among the husks.

In small box good, refill is awful
When I bought in store small metal pack I was happy! It’s amazing aroma and rich flavor! But then I ordered refills…. And it’s just awful quality!!!! Tea is super bad quality, no aroma, no flavor… just old dust. I sending message to seller, no one contacted me back. I will not recommend to buy here

Tastes great but arrived in a crushed condition
I love the taste of purple chocolate tea but the last time I ordered the refill package it arrived in a mostly crushed condition, making it hard to use in an infuser. I've had to brew it then had to dump it through a fine tea strainer into another cup. It tastes fine, it's just annoying. The first time I ordered it was in the tin so maybe that just ships better. The tea itself has a unique, very chocolate-y flavor that tastes great - and I generally don't like chocolate or flavored teas. I will buy it again but I think I'll stick to the tin next time.

Better than hot chocolate
This would be great for someone who likes depths of flavor in their drinking chocolate. This is amazing with organic milk.

It's okay.
I enjoy a rich coffee, preferably with chocolate notes and overtones. And though m-a-a-a-a-a-a-n-y coffees claim to have chocolate notes, maybe 4 do! I decided to find a real chocolate product that could enhance coffee. Along the way I have really enjoyed discovering cacao-based drinking beverages (*NOT hot chocolate!) -- the kind that may have other grains, such as barley, chicory, and carob. Coffee alternatives, if you will. Partly to reduce caffeine, partly to have better options in the evening, and also because these alternatives feel nourishing! I recommend them -- you won't ever feel jittery.I bought this JusTea Purple both to drink stand-alone (e.g. tea), yet also possibly to brew in with my coffee (via French Press). So: I don't think I will brew this in with coffee. It will probably stay as a standalone, and I do not think it will supplant other known, established brands that you can obtain readily in your local grocery stores or health food stores. My favorite cacao-based tea I pick up at my local health food store. I find the really good go-tos in the grocery stores; they come in French roast, dandelion, Mocha, and Vanilla Nut flavors, and incorporate ingredients such as dates for sweetness and chicory for balance and additional fiber.I have other specialty teas, such as a black tea with rose essence in it, which I drink occasionally. It's delicious, but I don't drink it every day. This tea will fall into that category.Regarding particular tasting notes -- I will need to update my review when I have more basis for comparison.

A Perfect Gift (for yourself, too)
The packaging of this makes for an excellent gift to any tea-lover in your life, with the charming design of the canon and the adorable little spoon; the taste of the resulting tea makes it well worth buying for yourself, as well. I purchased this for my mother for her birthday last year, and she (and I) have both enjoyed the results enough that as soon as she runs out, I know I'll be buying her more. Maybe I'll have to get myself one, too!

My Newest Addictive Delight
First, the tea comes in an attractive tin container with a little wooden scoop: very pretty & yet practical. It tastes delicious! And what a wonderful aroma! I like bitter tastes sometimes, and this has a warm, bitter chocolate taste, which can be easily sweetened, if one wishes. The flavour is smooth, the tea leaves are large enough, as are the chocolate "scales" and rose petals, so if properly strained, the tea has very few floating particles. It's yummy! Short of making a real hot chocolate drink, it really does curb that chocoholic craving. I find this the perfect drink for this time of year with little sun, with cold, damp weather: just steep for a few minutes, sit back & enjoy. Another nice perk is the fact that the thein content is low, so you get a quick lift without the jangled nerves. I've noticed some people find it pricey, but it's a quality, Canadian product, from a small business I'd like to see grow. The price is fair, it's not really expensive, and it's not necessarily something you would drink all the time. It's also possible to mix it with regular black, green, white or red tea, to boost the flavour or give it that extra zing. I'll definitely buy it again.

Yum!
I ordered this tea because I was craving something chocolatey. I've now ordered nearly every flavour they sell (including the tins of 3 teas, which will make excellent gifts!).The tea leaves are larger so you don't get the bits of tea in your cup/mouth while you drink. You can definitely get two cups out of each portion, just steep a little longer than you normally would. The chocolate flavour is perfect, it's not too strong, slightly bitter and complements the tea perfectly. I add a little stevia and cream to make it sweet and rich, but it's delicious all on its own as well. My partner, an avid coffee drinker, is hooked on it too - I'm glad they sell the big refill packs.I love the little hand-carved spoon you get with the tin. It's such a nice touch. I like that it's fair trade (and I get the irony of fair trade tea on Amazon).

Chocolate goodness!
I was surprised at how well the chocolate flavour comes through. I love that it is not sickly sweet like hot chocolates are, plus no added calories that are generally accompanied by added sugars. The loose blend is pleasing to look at and has an excellent aroma as soon as the container is opened. Even my teen enjoys a cup of this instead of hot chocolate. Delicious!

Chocolate tea
Having tried other teas from this lineup, i would say this is my least favorite, its very chocolaty, i would recommend not steeping it to long as once it gets strong it becomes very bitter.

Lackluster at best
I didn't find the tea to have enough flavor in any sense. I didn't taste much chocolate or tea. I even tried steeping for a longer time. This left me feeling unsatisfied, it just didn't give me what I was hoping for. I get better body and flavor from the supermarket brands.
