Fun and raunchy buddy comedy
Wedding Ringer is a buddy comedy film featuring Kevin Heart as Jimmy and Josh Gad as Doug. Doug is getting married to Kaley Cuoco as Gretchen a woman that is completely out of his league. Not only that, but he has absolutely no friends. It’s so bad that he has no best man for the ceremony. That brings him to Jimmy who runs a company where he poses as a best man for people like Doug. That includes providing him with a bachelor party and the total groom experience. That’s where the laughs come from as Jimmy assembles an odd ball cast of characters to be the groom’s men and set Doug up with his party and wedding.Wedding Ringer was well written. It’s one of those comedies where the writers tried to put in a joke in each scene. The casting for the groom’s men alone is hilarious. Each one has to interview by giving a monologue and then showing a party trick they can use at the wedding. One does a scene from Titanic. Another dislocates has arm as his trick. The bachelor party is raunchy and full of fun. Right before the wedding Doug and Jimmy play a football game with the bride’s father Ed (Ken Howard) and his friends who turn out to be ex-NFL players like Joe Namath. Doug and company get crushed at first and there’s plenty of trash talk as well. The film will definitely have you laughing.C

Kevin Hart's Star Ascends
Make no bones about it this movie is a total hoot. Director Jeremy Garelick references Judd Apatow and Todd Phillips by orchestrating the raunch with the sentimental while tailoring the film around Kevin Hart's incandescent comic persona. It's obvious that Hart's part was originally written for a white actor but he effortlessly makes smooth talking Jimmy Callahan his own creation. Josh Gad is terrific playing straight man to Hart and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting goes against type as Gad's gold digging fiancée. My favorite bit is the "groomsman" who pulls his arm out of its socket. Not for all sensibilities but if you liked "The Hangover" you know who you are.

Totally Mistakes Vulgarity for Comedy
Hey, I'm up for and can really enjoy vulgar comedy ('Loved "the Heat"), but not one obscenity after another in the guise of comedy. I was looking forward to watching Hart in his typical, incredulous, often crazy (and obscene) reactions to his circumstances. Unfortunately, the circumstances were totally unfunny. Suspending disbelief was also a major hurdle, but one I (and most people) are willing to take in a truly funny situation comedy. Where do they find these God awful writers?

Piss your pants funny.
Comedy at its best. Kevin Hart brings it to home plate in the Wedding Ringer. Not for children under the age of 15 if you ask me. I know some of you with new age parenting skills took your 8 year old... saw you in the theater. This movie is best watched on the start of your second beer and ends well with the 6 pack finished. Great for couples and anyone who likes crying due to moments of extreme laughter. If you don't like this movie..... I would recommend silent films from the early 1900s for you.

One the years best Comedies.
I love this movie. It's funny from start to finish and the jokes range from subtle things that don't get a HA HA but make you smile or chuckle nonetheless, to in your face "That just happened..." humor. This year Kevin also did Get Hard and this is by far the better of the two. I think one of the things that makes it a truly enjoyable movie is that despite it being a raunchy comedy in parts, the characters (most of them) are not 2 Dimensional. They have depth that is actually revealed throughout the film, and it movie touches on deeper "moral of the story" issues without rubbing your face in them.

If you have nothing to do and want to to just fill the time with watching something
it was ok. more than 1 or 2 funny moments. what i appreciated is that it was color agnostic. kevin hart just happened to be black, and only a few situations leveraged the differences as cultural but it was more just personality of the characters they were portraying. i wouldn't see the two of them pairing up again for a buddy movie. seeing it in the comfort of my home, probably made me appreciate it more.

The Wedding Ringer DVD
An early Kevin Hart and Josh Gad movie about a guy with no friends needing a wedding party for himself including the best man. Kevin Hart runs a business of pretending to know people and such and is hired to be Josh's best man and fill his grooms men. A wild adventure with them all learning about each other and themselves. And the not-so-honest bride to be too. A LOT of fun.

Surprisingly funny movie!
This is a funny movie and we laughed many times thru the showing. Kevin Hart's character is lovable but a little bit sad in this. The groom and his "best men" were what really sold the laughs... But I really didn't like the way they ended it...My wife; however, loved the happy ending. I really expected more out of the Kaley Cuoco character, but I guess that was more about the writing than the performance. All in all, a great way to spend a couple hours.

Kevin Hart and Josh Gad is a comedy duo that works
Imagine your wedding is coming up and your bride-to-be has everything in place from her side but you as the groom-to-be simply have one thing to do and haven't done it as you simply can't...enter Josh Gad who plays Doug as he tries to get a best man for his wedding and finds that he actually doesn't have anyone who will do it and so he turns to a company who can provide this as a service in order to obtain not just his best man but also his "buddies" for the wedding. The film is one I looked at a few times as I decided if I wanted to give this a shot before eventually picking it up online for a great price and I am delighted that I finally did as I really liked this film overall. There were plenty of funny situations and excellent comedy performances that help this film to deliver.

Solid undemanding fun..
There isn't one great scene or one killer performance, but there is a steady drip drip drip of decent performances and reasonable scenes. It's funny without being hysterical, it's charming without being charismatic and it is good without being great. It is only let down by one scene that is grossly obscene (bestiality) which even in a genre which tries to shock was extremely tasteless and the quicker I forget it the better.

Fantastic film from Kevin Hart, almost everything he has starred in the past 2 years has been hilarious and this really is no different. Its a great storyline with plenty of laughs. If you enjoyed other films such as Get Hard / Ride Along you will enjoy this, Hart is brilliant.
