Poison Hardcover – September 1, 2005

This book is so exciting and a page turner. I recommend it to every reader I know. It’s got a thrill to it. I bought mine used and it’s in great condition.

Poison has always been one of my favorite books. This story is about a girl named Poison living in a swamp village with her father, sister, and step-mother. Then one day her sister gets kidnapped by some evil beings from another realm. Poison then goes out to save her sister even though she has never left her home in the swamp before. She basically goes on this long, crazy, dangerous adventure just to find her baby sister and rescue her from some bad guys. And along the way she made a couple good, life-long friends.Also i'd like to point out that this book isn't really for little kids unless they're strong minded. I'd say 13 and up is good. I first read it when i was 11.

I read this book once in high school and really enjoyed it. 10 years later, I found it on Amazon and decided to give it another read. Still holds up well, the author's writing is simple and clear, paints a vivid picture of what's going on. The characters are fun and unique, I like their interactions with eachother. The last quarter of the book drags a little and the twist is pretty obvious, but overall I just like the world the author has created and I can definitely see myself reading this again in the future. This book is perfect for teens and young adults who love fantasy.

A little bit of damage but perfect replacement for my own copy that had been lost

I read this book in like 5th grade. Aome one accidentally pit it in oir elementary school library. I read it feverishly and then i told the librarian maybe 9 year olds shouldnt ready this. I forgot I even read it and came across is on amazon and decided to re read ot. Still great. Yhis book lead to my love of fantast books!

One of my favorite books - had to replace my old copy as I read it so much the pages started to fall out! Great book for young adults but not limited to - it is a really unique story you've never heard before and written beautifully. Fans of dark fairy tales will love this book!

This is one of my favorite books. I got it from the library and liked it so much I decided to buy myself one. BIG twist at the end I was not expecting! After reading Poison I read some other books by Chris Wooding (The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, Storm Thief and Silver) and I liked them too but not as much as Poison.Great book!

I read this book a long time a go in middle school and it blew my mind. I loved it. I bought the kindle version. I read bits and chapters of it every now and then to get back in touch with the fresh open-minded feeling I had when I first read it as a kid. Talk about making your own rules. Anyway this book is brilliant and very imaginative. Magnificent author, magnificent read.

One of my favesIm wildly in hate with the cover, I know it ties in with the other styled covers of Chris Woodings books but it totally does not match the story feel and style. I was recommended Chris Wooding's books by a friend who knew I was into twisted fairytales, traditional folklore aesthetics, and female leads. This book contains all of that and more. Despite it seeming to be a typical coming of age tale, it's full of captivating twists and turns that keep you hooked and wondering how the characters are going to evade trouble! Chris Wooding is a really talented author, and I hope ore people discover his work!

I have read this book at least four times, it is a masterpiece of fantasy. The heroine is both relatable, and interesting, her character development is really believable. The collection of friends an enemies and interesting in their own right, not just plot devices. A book for all genders, and ages. I read first when I was at school, and am still going back to it now. Something I will keep on my shelf forever.

Good book, similar to Labyrinth but not enough to be unoriginal. Arrived fast and in good condition.
