Perfect for daily use!!!
When I viewed these breeches online, I honestly didn’t like the corrugated appearance or the brand, but they fit my budget, and were the size I needed (34R).I wear size 11 women’s jeans, size 10 dresses, and am 5’7”, 174 lbs. these fit me wonderfully. I love the high waist because I am very curvy and low-rises breeches often don’t fit me right and slip while riding. The nearest tack shop is over an hour away from me, so I needed to find something online. I have several other higher end Ovation breeches, but I decided to get something cheaper for every day use, to preserve the better quality ones. After viewing various other breeches on Amazon, I decided to take the plunge and purchase these.— I’m so glad that I did!To my surprise these breeches are VERY comfortable, fit me perfectly, and do not slip much while in the saddle, not to mention the great price.Perhaps what I like most about these breeches is that they are stretchy enough to wear leggings/long Johns under in the winter time, but still fit well by themselves.Although I didn’t like the corrugated texture in the picture, I really like how the breeches look in person. The material is very nice and they fit wonderfully. They do not feel confining while riding or doing everyday barn chores. These were cheap enough that I don’t feel bad mucking stalls or sitting in the arena sand during down time. The front pocket is deep enough for keys or phone, which great for trail riding. The only issue with the location the pocket (like all breeches I’ve seen) is that when you’re actually riding, whatever is in your pocket will jab your thigh/gut. I really wish they would make a large back pocket with a zipper, or a thigh pocket!!! :/I have worn these multiple times over fences and on active trail rides (often cantering, not just walking), and would certainly purchase these again!I highly recommend if you are just starting out, or if you’re intermediate - advanced but need a nice pair of breeches for every day barn wear.

High waist so no muffin top or plumbers crack!
I love these and now own 5 pair. They are my go-to riding pants. My only complaint is they are heavy enough to be very warm in 80+ degree heat. - I have a butt and belly pudge, so the high waist fits well and keeps my butt covered, unlike other breeches I've tried. - Ribbing gives excellent grip on my rough-out saddle - Sturdy fabric and construction, I expect these to last a long time - Belt loops wide enough for a 1.5" belt, so I have a place to tuck my mecateI wear a size 12 jeans, went with size 34 in these for a looser fit which I am happy with.

NICE QUALITY
My mom loved these breeches. She most likely will be returning these for a 32, but the overall quality, fit and support was great she reported. FYI, she ordered a Devon-Aire ribbed in the same size and was clearly 1-2" larger and WAY more elasticy & stretchy. My mom wanted a firm feeling pair of breeches, with more body and texture...the Tuffriders were spot on! I'm a college softball player and to me they were more like softball pants, again, not paper thin like the Devon-Aires. In our hot and humid HAWAI'I climate, my mom hopes these breathe, the Devon-Aires looked more breathable because they were lighter...but mom felt like it wasn't a firm fit, she keeps tossing out firm and support...you horsey people might get that connotation. I did do a side by side and yes, I can tell you that the Tuffrider did look sturdier and better made. Now, I'm a rough athlete and so is mom, so we both look for that kind of stuff when choosing active wear. Hope this kind of helps. :)

I would get the size 24 and they would have fit perfect. y
These pants were for my 13 year old daughter who wears a size 0-2 women's pants. She is 5'1" and they were a bit big for her. I had purchased size 26 in black and the color was true to size. I think if I ordered again, I would get the size 24 and they would have fit perfect.y. I kept these and while they are a little big, I don't think enough to return them. The length was a bit long, but also not enough to matter.

Best fitting so far
I ordered 5 different pairs of riding pants from various companies. It was very depressing. They all made me feel like a stuffed sausage. These were the only ones that feel great and look good. They are a bit heavier weight so summer riding will be a little warm. The ribs add to the flattering look aand help disguise some of the bulges. I have already worn to my lessons and have ordered a second pair for showing. I am an older and heavier rider. 53. 200lbs. and 5'7' so the search for riding pants that feel and look good has been hard. I ordered a 36. I also ordered an XL in another TuffRider pant but they did not fit at all. I think you just have to keep trying till you find what works for you. These look great, don't break the bank and feel comfortable.

Like the Breeches, Dislike the Color
I'll start by saying that it wasn't easy to find breeches that would fit a 36" waist. There weren't a lot of options, so I'm grateful for these. They are well-made, flexible, and comfortable, and although they aren't exactly flattering to my mom tummy, they look fine when my shirt is left untucked, which is fine for schooling. I will say that I should have considered the ribbing on the thighs when I ordered b/c when I walk it sounds like I'm trying to start a fire, but luckily no flames - or pilling of fabric - yet! The reason for the 4 stars is that the color is WAY off from the photo. Yes, they're called Taupe, but the color on the listing clearly shows something closer to Tan, which is what I was wanting. These look like muddy water or slightly chocolate-y milk. If they hold up well I will order another pair in a different color because the quality seems quite good.

They're high-rise which I like to tuck everything in
You get what you expect with these! They're high-rise which I like to tuck everything in, and not have to worry about bending and moving- especially when you're riding. I'm a size 10 in regular pants and ordered a 30. They fit perfectly as expected. As stated in a previous comment, they're not as thin as the ribbed Devon Aires(which I have). They're firmer and maybe a tad thicker, which I also like much better for more support. I'd also like to note that shipping said it would take up to 2 weeks, and they arrived within 3 days!!! Now that's amazing :).

Best in Breeches!
TuffRider's are the only breeches I wear! They fit beautifully and flatter the figure also. I jump and hack comfortably in these and always feel confident in the way I look at the barn with other riders. The price is right and you won't be disappointed. They wash in warm and dry at normal temps and look as good as they did when you first purchased them. What more can we ask for?

Better suited for tall boots than paddock boots
They’re pretty nice, seem to be holding ip well. I don’t like the velcrow on the ankle, it’s okay in my tall boots but it tides up to my calf when wearing paddock boots.

Colour is a little different
The material is super nice and I love the fit, it’s perfect for my shape and it actually had the sock bottoms instead of the Velcro like the other reviews said. Colour is a little darker but I still love the colour
