Satin is the BEST color for shiny, healthy hair!
I've used this brand since forever. It is a permanent aloe-based haircolor. It is low in ammonia, less than 1%. Ammonia is what causes cuticle damage to hair and many brands contain high amounts. Satin has a built-in reconstructor and it's color molecules deposit color deep into hair. I have never had damage using Satin hair colors. Always leaves hair shiny and healthy!Satin also makes developer which is what I always use. It contains silicone and keeps hair healthy and retains color. I buy the large white 20% bottle. They offer a "CG" developer for stubborn grays though I haven't used that. I use 10% developer for color matching or deposit only coloring. If going several shades lighter 20% is sufficient. For those trying to choose a color, I think Satin runs darker on porous hair. Meaning if you leave an 8A on bleached, previously colored hair or ends, it can end up medium brown instead of ash blonde. Try and do a strand test if you're not familiar with this brand. 8A is great for covering any orange brass. If you're coloring/refreshing highlighted hair and want to keep it bright and blonde, go with a level 10 or lighter. The "N" tones are a nice neutral. Dark browns come out best with a level 4 or 5. The Mocha series are beautiful deep, warm chocolate browns. All colors can be mixed to get just the right colors.I always buy from a local authorized beauty supply store. However with quarantine, I had to purchase online. I can say 100% the item I received was authentic. My only suggestion is the price should be closer to $10.00. I paid $13.00 from Amazon. I did get an application brush so that wasn't too bad - but now I see with shipping it's closer to $16.00 - too high!

Works great!
So, I posted a bad review before but I messed up. After my little PMS fit🤦🏻♀️ I ended up using it and it worked great.

Great for Root Touch-ups
I really enjoy using Satin hair color. It's good to see that the product can be found on Amazon and looks to be an authentic product - not some strange 3rd party company. If I'm wrong, someone please tell me!

Great Color for Me!
I love the simplicity of this product--a great color for my hair [totally covers the "silver"], easy to use, no terrible smell. It also doesn't fade--lasts a long time.

Lasting color
Great product!! I used the Gray Cover developer by Satin and it was at least 6 weeks before I had roots. I would say it’s a win.
