What an amazing start to Midnight Fae!!!
Wow! What more can I say about this book? It was just awesome. I love everything that Lexi writes, but she just keeps evolving and putting new and amazing worlds together that just blow my mind. Ella and Tray have a great story and I love the glimpse into Midnight Fae Academy. I can’t wait to read more and delve deeper into the dark Fae. Oh...and Kols is just too yummy for words. I can’t wait for him!

Tray and Ella make such a fantastic Pair
This is a spin-off full-length novel to the Elemental Academy series but though set in the same world its a standalone read. It's kind of loosely based around the fairytale Cinderella, intertwined with the fae and initially had undertones of a bully romance, very swiftly evolving into something else entirely.Ella herself is a halfling: half midnight fae and half-human, Tray is Midnight Fae royalty here to ease Ella into her new reality and assist in awakening her dormant magic.Initially, his efforts and way he went about this task sucked big-time, he across as completely brain-dead who needed a quick kick where the sun don't shine.I wanted to slap him just so badly.Luckily after everything went postal and Ella's eyes were wide open in regard to his origins and most importantly her own he reevaluated his methods and ceased his idiotic reasonings, working with Ella and not keeping her in the dark, top points there Tray there's hope for you yet.So Tray's contrite redemption and caring loyalty made up for his initial idiotic stupidy.Yeh, his reasoning were flawed but his intentions were mostly pure and by the time I was past the 30% mark, I was most definitely team Tray all the way and I just adored the building dynamic and tension between these two potential mates. So once again this author managed to pull me into the unfolding narrative with such ease and I read this in one single sitting. This was just so deeply and incredibly intense especially when these two finally consummate there connection and bond as true mates.I could feel the deep emotions, feelings and sizzle between them both and I really wasn't expecting that level of intensity here especially with me not being Tray's biggest fan at the start of this.He totally managed to do a 360 on me his attentive and loving behaviour certainly making up for his initial bad first impression. Finally, that finish was just so delicious and I just love it when those that totally deserve it get served there just desserts, feels fantastic.I also loved the surprising turnaround on one person's part wasn't expecting that one at all.Tray and Ella make such a fantastic Pair and I loved being a part of there special journey.I also will look forward to bumping into them again in future books in this series. This was such a great read and I enjoyed it a lot I definitely recommend this series and author she never lets me down.I voluntary reviewed a copy of Ella's Masquerade.

I can't wait to read the series!
Last week I finished the Elemental Fae Academy series by Lexi Foss and J.R. Thorn and I fell in love with the characters and that world. The world-building was fantastic, the write excellent and the plot kept my interest from beginning to end. So now I am absolutely obsessed with this world and to know it's just one part of a megaverse with that will have more books set in this world by Lexi and J.R., to say I am excited is an understatement. The midnight fae had a brief introduction in the Elemental Fae series but the true introduction is with the prequel to the Midnight Fae series, Ella's Masquerade. This book gives basic information on midnight fae but is a full story into itself, it's also a Cinderella retelling too but with fae and it amazing. I loved Ella, she struggled to overcome a tragic past all the while dealing with a problematic present with the evil-step family. However, she was determined to make it because she sees a better life for herself. Then enters Tray, a midnight fae that I am swooning over, seriously are all the fae in this universe this dashing or what because I seem to want them all.Ella's Masquerade is a full-length novel that is just the beginning of the Midnight Fae story. Everything is so connected and I am looking forward to reading Aflora's (who had an appearance in the Elemental Fae verse) and seeing more of Tray and Ella. I am so excited to be diving into this series and learning more about the midnight fae.

Ella's Masquerade
For most kids high school is an experience that we remember forever, whether for the good or the bad.Ella's experiences at high school went South the minute she went to her first freshman formal. Since that night she's always kept to herself and learned to not engage the bullies as it just gives them the satisfaction of knowing they are getting to her. All she has to do is keep her head down and make it to graduations and she'll finally be free.At least that's the plan until she meets the new transfer student.Trayton Nacht. He's got a darkness about him that Ella just can't seem to put her finger on. He's handsome and for some reason enjoys pushing her buttons.Trayton has ulterior motives for transferring to Darlington Academy. 3 years before a girl stole his heart and left him with no name and a curiosity that had him determined to find her again. However, after he finally learns who she is the life she's survived he's determined to see her come into the powers that she should've come into as well as get the revenge she needs against anyone and everyone who bullied or turned a blind eye.I really enjoyed reading this one. I'm kind of sad that the book that follows this one is a reverse harem, it's just not really my thing. But who knows, maybe one day I'll follow up and read it. I will say one thing I would've liked to have seen is a more bloody revenge.

A very delightful introduction to the Midnight Fae world
I laughed, I cried, I was not ready for Ella and Trey's story to end. This is not a typical bully romance but man, poor Ella throughout most of this story. This is retelling of Cinderalla yet nothing like you would imagine. This author has gone and set us up wonderfully for this new world we are about to encounter and I CAN NOT WAIT.I was sad when this book ended, I was not ready to say goodbye to Ella and Trey and I want to see what mischief they can get into. This really is a quick read, but if you are into fantasy at all, and want a great intro to this world that will suck you in and make you wish you could have magical powers also, I recommend you read this today!
