A very disappointing purchase
I've used quite a few LABISTS products with my growing Raspberry PI collection, and been very pleased with the quality and results to date. Unfortunately, this case is the exception that proves the rule.On the plus side, it is quite rugged. Designed for use with an official PI camera, there is a mounting point for the camera inside the case and a brass insert for mounting the case on a tripod. The perfect design one would think for a PI security camera or similar project. Sadly, despite these pluses, this case failed on a number of vital points.First of all, the fan is really loud while at the same time not managing to move much air about at all. Out of all the PI fans I have purchased, this one is close to useless. It certainly would be too loud in the background if you wanted to use the PI as a baby monitor etc. The worse problem though, is the camera mount. This is a snap in affair, and despite using an official LABISTS camera (purchased separately), I could not get the camera to line up square inside the mounting. After much persuasion, I managed to get it to fit, but damaged one of the mounting clips in the process. Even then, the front face of the camera was not flush with the front of the case. either the camera PCB has increased in size, or the case tolerances are too tight. I suspect the latter, as even fitting and removing the PI board itself was a struggle. There then is the problem of RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). If you are foolish enough to try and use this case with the standard ribbon cable supplied with the LABISTS camera, you will get all sorts of noise bars and interference on the captured image. At first I thought I might have damaged the camera itself in my efforts to get it to fit, but it turns out when assembling the case the long cable acts as an antenna and picks up all the RF from the PI board itself. Using the camera in another PI case running the ribbon cable out from the top of the case solved this problem. I am tempted to buy a much shorter cable, but I'm not sure how I will be able to assemble the case afterwards, or if indeed being so close to the PI itself will still not cause interference. As my application requires a tripod mounted camera, I might just open out the SD card slot and run a long ribbon cable from there to the PI after re-engineering a better internal mount for the camera, probably involving a scalpel and a hot glue gun . A bit clunky, but it is the only solution I can think of that prevents me adding this terrible design to my growing chocolate teapot collection.

Really well build, perfect for camera applications.
This is a really great case especially for camera applications.. Easy to install. Camera ribbon cable management is an issue but the is the nature of the cable rather then the case. Fan is a bit noisy at 5v. Yet to try at 3.3v. I think you and get a quiet fan as a replacement...

nice case, bad fan
Nice case, looks durable, rpi fit with no problem.Only one issue is fan that was poor quality. Swapped with noctua fan (require little mod)

Don't bother with the fan, noisy
Having made comparisons with other Pi 4 cases this ticked all the boxes especially having a fan and heat sinks included. However having had a while now the fan rattles in the case even though securely fittted it is very noisy. To overcome this I have now mounted on the outside of the case grill which looks a big ugly but does the job.

No Instructions & Noisy Fan
Disappointed that there were no assembly instructions included in the package. Actual assembly of the Pi into the case is simple, but there's no instruction as to where the fan is connected (Pins 4&6 of the GPIO by the way). Considering I use my Pi as a media server and it's on all the time, I found the noise from the fan intrusive - it can still be heard when the unit is in a cupboard.

Does not fit correctly
this case is badly designed. The ports for the usb-c and micro hdmi do not fit through the holes. As a result the shroud on the cables bottoms out before they are inserted correctly. Worthless junk.

Finishes the Pi off professionally!
A great little item to put your raspberry pi into. This finishes it off and makes it look a more professional finish. Also protects it from dust.

NO CAMERA INCLUDED
I stupidly fell for the way this is advertised in the photo there is a camera fitted to the case, I am new to Raspberry Pi but they should make it clear that there is NO Camera included.
