Its big and a bit plasticky - it works well though!
I bought this to backup my Trace Elliot ELF, as and also had a bit more rated power, saving me lugging a heavy Line 6 Combo as my backup. The Elf is made by Peavey, its cheaper than the Hartke, but the built quality is fantastic and small in comparison. The Hartke doesn’t feel as premium, it doesn’t sound any louder in a gig environment despite having an extra 100w on the Elf. It is also considerably larger than it needs to be when compared to the full metal (including metal knobs) offering by Peavey/Trace Elliot. The switch is on the front, a plastic push in button which lights up in amber, so you can see it is on! It has effects too in the form of shaping and compression (all on plastic knobs), although I probably won’t make much use of effects, it is handy option for those that will.Unlike the Elf it won’t fit in your pocket, but it looks substantial enough for gigging and gives me enough volume for pub gigs. I play it through a GK 2x12 cab and it drives this well.So for the money it is okay and does the job in a small venue, but I’m not blown away by it’s power rating. It has been built to a price point and looks better than it feels to use.Only played a few gigs with this so far, so I will update if I have any revelations.
