Let me start by saying that the stock photo Amazon uses does not do this watch justice at all. It looks so much nicer in person. The finish of the stainless steel is darker than what it looks like in the photo. I've added several pictures of my own. They will give you a much better idea of what the watch looks like in person.I went with the stainless steel band because I like having the option. High quality leather bands can easily be found online and they will give the watch a completely new look. Better to pay a little extra now for the stainless steel band than have to try and find one later. If you do manage to find the original Hamilton band, it won't be cheap. It will be significantly more than the difference you pay now.This watch has some serious heft to it. I was surprised by how heavy it is. Feels extremely well builtThe lume on the hands and around the dial is fantastic. You can tell it is of a very high quality.I knew I would like this watch, but after getting it in my hands, I love it even more.If you are a fan of Hamilton or pilot watches in general, you can't go wrong with this one.I bought it when it was in stock and being sold directly by Amazon and not a different seller. While that might not be a big deal, I know that Amazon has incredible customer service and in case something goes wrong, they will take care of me.

To put it plainly, this is a beautiful timepiece that wears equally well in either shorts or in a suit. As a matter of taste, it perhaps wears best casually, but it is definitely not limited to casual wear.This is indeed a large watch and was initially concerned somewhat about the size, but my fears were simply illusory as the watch fits my wrist without looking ostentatious. Nevertheless, as a large watch, it may be too large for those with comparatively smallish wrists (under 7 1/2 or 7 1/4 inches). However, this depends largely on one's preference.In regards to the automatic movement, it is smooth and the somewhat unique face, with its slightly raised reflective numbers, adds character. In short, this is a beautiful, yet bold timepiece and is highly recommended.

Disclaimer: Both of the ones I bought were sourced by Amazon directly.The first one I received had a fairly deep chip/scratch on the case right below 5:00. I returned it and Amazon was kind enough to ship out another one while the first was in transit back to them. The second one lost three hours the first night I took it off a winder. It was on the winder for 48 hours and the winder was set up for winding the particular movement in this watch, as I have ~10 others with the same movement. Even after being on there for 48 hours, on its third night(first off the winder) it lost three hours. I returned it and gave up. I have several Hamiltons and have never, ever had any problems with them. I mark it up to poor handling with the first one, and just really bad luck on the second.I do really like how this version of this watch has a bracelet that you can take in the ocean, or remove and put some nice antique leather straps on. It's a beautiful watch and I'm sure I'll try again when I regain the patience.Don't let my particular luck shy you away. Hamiltons are great watches and this one is a winner for sure.

Stunning and very large watch. Couldnt be happier. Hamilton watch bands are very easy to adjust with the pin tools.

I have had the watch for about three weeks.I enjoy wearing it.Its a bit heavy and large for my 7.5 inch wrist.It is a heavy watch but comfortable.It is a challenge to read the time. Hour hand is difficult to see sometimes.I had to take it to a jeweler size. I usually size my watch bands myself but my sizing equipment is not strong enough for the band on this watch.

Big watch! Very legible, good lume at night. Loses about 5 secs a week - which is fine

I always wanted the watch that Cooper uses in Interstellar movie. This is the 46mm version of that watch. Superb quality and a fantastic design. Simple but bold. This puppy is staying with me forever.
