Easy to install
This is way more heavy duty than I need or expected but it was very easy to install and does the job even on our some what flimsy aluminum gate.

WOW !
This gate anchor arrived quickly and I installed it yesterday (80-year-old lady) and it took maybe 10 minutes to put on the 2 curved brackets, washers and tighten the nuts. IT IS STURDY !!! We are in a wind-prone area and I didn't want the metal 8 foot gate to move, so reviewed several other gate anchors and chose this one because of the reviews. I didn't want a light-weight rinky-dink anchor, but something with "heft". Yes, it is more difficult to use because of the sturdiness, but this gate isn't opened very much and I don't have children around that would try to open it. I recommend this heavy-duty gate anchor for big, heavy gates. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

SUPER heavy duty
This thing is much larger than anticipated. I had read the reviews, but still didn't expect what we got. Yes, it is a little tricky at first for kids with small hands to open, but our kids learned to just use their foot to push down on the tab. Highly recommended.

It's huge
Nice product, but ridiculously large. The rod is 3/4 of an inch, completely unnecessary weight hanging off the end of a gate I'm trying to keep from sagging.

You get what you pay for.
I almost didn’t purchase this product because I thought the price was a bit high. Glad I did because it is really a great quality product that you will only have to buy once. There are possibly cheaper options but I doubt there are better ones.

Hard to operate one-handed
Easy to install and does the job, but is a bit more fiddly to raise and lower than I expected. I can’t seem to do it one-handed, which would be ideal while leading horses.

What a convience
Just a well built and designed product that keeps my gate free swinging and holds it in whatever position I desire. Needed 2 more and found them cheaper on line. I used to be able to count on Amazon always bring cheaper, but no more. So much for being a prime member.
