Didn’t work at first
After installing the batteries every which way, I had no luck getting the laser to turn on. So I wiped the batteries and battery wells clean and suddenly it works without issue. The green laser is bright and it fits nicely on my 12GA 590. The only issue I can foresee is my big hand getting in the path of the laser when I over-grip the shotgun fore end. The price was a little high, we’ll see how long it works and if CT stands by their “free batteries for life” that’s written on the box.

Green laser is easily visible even at 50 yds in sunlight
250G: Laser is tight and well focused. It remains that way even as distance increases, seemingly staying sharply focused at any range I pointed it out too (upwards of 50 yards). That would ultimately be useless if it didn’t stand out against its surroundings though. However, the green laser is VERY visible during the day at any distance you’re likely to use it for, probably even further than you’d expect. For night time use I have it paired with a 1000+ lumen flashlight and the laser does not get washed out whatsoever. In fact, they compliment each other very well. Anyone on the other end of this set up would be put at a severe disadvantage with how bright these two attachments are. Ergonomically the pressure pads are very well thought out too. I particularly like that the one furthest back on the receiver is in a great spot to use if short-stocking. It’s more likely designed to be used as a palm switch though - think where the index finger connects to palm (ball of your index finger? Ball of your palm?) The middle position is the most direct to drop right to the trigger. The most forward is right where you’d want it if you had your index finger laying flat and extended fully down the receiver. Another reviewer was complaining about wanting some big blotchy laser instead so that target acquisition would be easier. Even going as far as to bash this product over that preference. I strongly disagree with that assessment and think this has been money well spent on a well designed, seemingly high quality, and functional product.

Great fit. Easy to see. Easy to activate.
I haven't fired it yet, but sighted in my 20 ga Mossberg 590 with a cartridge laser bore sighter to about 20 feet. That's all I would need for my preferences. I don't know what some of the reviewers are talking about as far as a poor fit, poor quality mounting hardware, difficult assembly or gaps in the seams. Installation couldn't be simpler. It fits perfectly and low profile make it hard to even notice at first glance that there is a laser sight on the gun. It comes with a 20ga inner sleeve that you use as a spacer to mount the 12 ga saddle over it. If you have a 12, you just mount the unit. The laser is super bright, easy to access, windage and elevation is easy. In fact so easy, my concern is the set screw holding the adjustment after firing a dozen rounds. We'll see. A great product, however the $50 extra for the green and almost $200 price tag is pretty steep.

Easy install, easy to sight in, compatible w/12ga & 20ga
Awesome system - really a must-have for any shockwave. Installation took about 5-10 minutes (including the time it took to clear off the desk), and took about 30 seconds to dial in the laser to match the front bead sight. One thing I recommend for anybody installing this - put a light coat of oil on the receiver where the saddle will be covering it. The saddle is designed for battery replacement without having to remove the saddle - so if you don't throw a coat of oil on it during install, it might be a while before that surface sees any oil.I saw a couple of people ask if they can install this on a 20ga shockwave, and saw the answer of "no". This is not an accurate answer (at least anymore). Maybe the first revision of the product didn't come with the shim and spacer washer - but the one I just received DID come with a shim and spacer washer for the 20 gauge. So yes - if you order this CT item on Amazon, it comes with the hardware required to install on the 20ga. version of the shockwave.Overall - very impressed. CT did their homework with this system and put together a really good product. I don't think you can do any better - regardless of price.

Installation OK once I got the factory's place-holding screws out of their holes.
Had a heckuva time getting the screws out of the Mossberg, but once I did that, the installation was fairly easy. Have to use 2 kinda flimsy "Allen" wrenches at the same time to tighten down the trigger-assembly pin screws, but managed. The flimsiness is probably more perception than real - tho manipulating 2 at the same time wasn't all that easy.Once on the "fire-arm" (I have the Shockwave, which is NOT a "shotgun"), the laser works nicely. Weather here hasn't been suitable for outdoor range time, so haven't really tested accuracy, but the green dot is nicely visible, and all works fine. Don't know if the screws will loosen with firing, but will find out - at the range, hopefully.

DOES NOT FIT MOSSBERG 590M SHOCKWAVE, BUT IT CAN WORK!!
The 590M Shockwave receiver is a bit longer than the 590/500 by less than 1”, if you start the rear screws by hand, then grasp the top of the laser saddle and top of the receiver and squeeze (a good strong safe squeeze, it’s thick polymer) with your palm and finger and with a slight push forward you can line up the front top hole and start screw by hand.. VERY EASY TO CROSS THREAD..START BY HAND ONLY OR VERY LIGHTLY WITH TOOL.. repeat process for each screw.. once all are started screw them all in little by little until their all tight, Laser will touch barrel and requires slight adjustment… I’m very satisfied, I just wish there was one for my exact model!!!

Works when you needed too!!
Crimson Trace does exactly what it is supposed to do and I'm impressed with how strong the light is. It took a while to get here through the mail but that's just the volume of the mail and at the border is busy right now so no one's fault there.
