For open-minded religious readers
The main idea of this novel is that something went wrong with our creators' (God's) perfect plan but only to humans on this planet. Traditional Judeo-Christianity calls this The Fall or original sin and it is the explanation for all the evils we experience in life. The author offers another explanation, and asks the question: What if there were other planets inhabited by humans who did not experience this and still lived ideally as the creators intended, although much more scientifically advanced than we are now? This is but one of the questions raised in the novel. Lacking divine revelation, these alien humans attempt to use science to learn about the creators (God) and what happens to the soul after death. Yes, they have proven the existence of the soul by science and know there is life after death but have no idea what it is like. Both religion and science are presented in an unorthodox way but this is a novel, not a religious tract or scientific paper. I can see how this novel could help the reader come to grips with the loss of a loved one. Especially if the reader is not religious in a traditional sense. My favorite part is when the protagonist reaches the afterlife. It is only there that he finds the answers that all humans seek, no matter what planet they come from.

Wowed!
A real page turner! I couldn’t wait to get to the “punch” line of the story. A very interesting perspective on life after death to say the least. I loved the opening line and was immediately captivated.

Don't bother...
I wish I could get my $3.27 back. This book is a poorly written, poorly edited Socratic dialogue on creationism and religious faith. It reads as if written by a highschool sophomore.

Well written, gripping even but ...
The ending left me disappointed. It is as if the author did not know how to provide a satisfactory ending. His arguments were logical and cogent, but having read extensively about differing afterlife theories, I feel this book comes up short.

Makes you think “outside the box”
A truly different type of story. Although fiction, it causes one to stop and think and wonder “what if”... given some of the latest discoveries in the fields of science and space, it does cause one to ponder hummmmm! Cudos to the author for presenting a totally different point of view. The reason for the missing fifth star, the book was not proof read very well and some of the errors had me scratching my head trying to figure out what was missing or out of order in the sentences. Despite that, I will be recommending to friends as a good read.

To be or not to be
The story is somewhat interesting but how the author came about it is puzzling and is one of the many pitfalls of this book. If the author has passed on, how is this book being written on this 3rd density world , the earth? Also , the author's description of the other side sounds !more like a scene from a Twighlight Zone episode than what takes place after death but perhaps there are multiple ways in which a person can experience the afterlife and he is only experiencing a partial experience. Where are his guides and angels? Where is the Akashic hall of records? Too many unanswered questions and no forthcomimg information. Disappointing reading.

A Concious Awakening indeed
THE ORIGINAL PLAN was Bibliotherapy (the use of selected reading materials as therapeutic adjuvants in medicine and in psychiatry also : guidance in the solution of personal problems through directed reading) for me. After reading TOP, I realized that since authors have different theories about death, there "might" be one that no human or lifeform on any planet or dimension or wherever--has thought of--even in their most wildest, creative IMAGINATION dream. Thank you for taking the time from enjoying YOUR life to risk that one person might enjoy your book and also as a healing therapy. P.S. I believe it's important for all humans to realize that we probably can't change "whatever" the truth is.

Unusual but good
First of all, this is not a typical sci-fi novel. If you are into spaceship battles and alien invasions, then it’s definitely not your cup of tea. This book is an intellectual journey, so don’t hope for much action.I like that the theories about the origin of life, evolution, our souls, and life after death are backed up with reasonable arguments. I have never thought that science and religion could be reconciled in such a believable way.If you have ever wondered why we are here, then it's a must-read for you.
