Q: Can you get a replacement handle ?

Can you get a replacement handle? Don't actually know. These are made in Turkey, and are very sturdy, but there isn't any retention method for the handle. Consequently losing the handle is a possibility. My belief is that this risk means handles are available. I wouldn't know where, though. My suggestion would be to speak to the local high school metal shop and see if a student would make one for you.

Q: Is there a smaller version? Not so tall as 8.5”?

I thought there was one listed on the options...I liked the larger bottom container - thats why I got the larger one.

Q: How do you put in the peppercorns/coffee?

First I don't know why you would put peppercorns in coffee. But if you must mix a few in with the coffee beans. But I think the grinder will grind either.
