The puzzle pieces will not interlock and stay put if you interlock them on a felt-lined puzzle portfolio. This is unspeakably frustrating for the frail elderly, whose arthritic fingers don't cooperate well.You will be disappointed to discover that the magnetized pieces will not stick to an aluminum baking sheet. You will have to find or buy a steel tray if you wish to put the puzzle together on a portable surface. I was shocked to learn that steel serving trays large enough to accommodate the puzzle frame and the interior pieces around the edge cost more than $50, including the shipping and handling. If you buy several of these magnetic puzzles, and you intend to rework them multiple times, it might be worth the extra cost.

I took a chance on buying these, as all the reviews are so harsh against them. Let me just say....I don't know how they could be bent in the container--the container is small, about 3 inches tall x 2 1/2 inches round with the pcs being around a tinch over 1 inch each, but they are magnetic and they do fit together. I purchased 3 of them for our family of 3 couples to have a game at Christmas to see who could put their state together first! I would need to add to this to see who wins--but this puzzle is really cute! The only thing would be to lower the price a tad....other than that no negatives on my end!!

I ordered two of these puzzles--one for a special needs student and one for me. What a disappointment! As other reviewers have remarked, the pieces were thin, often bent, and did not fit well. (I had to TAPE them together!) Also, the company placed the insert of the downstate area on top of Canada in such a way that the New Jersey shoreline precisely lined up with Ontario's and their bordering bodies of water (the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Ontario) appeared to be one big lake!! (Talk about a way to confuse kids...) Additionally, the large green "New York State Puzzle" label almost completely covered Chautauqua County--inexcuseable if you are from Western New York. All in all, this was a waste of money.

The pieces will not stay together because they do not lay flat because they were jammed into a small can. I have tried three times to put the puzzle together. The second time, I tried placing flat magnets under the pieces hoping they would help to both flatten the pieces and keep them together. No such luck!! I am now in the process of trying to flatten the pieces by spreading them on a cookie sheet and putting weighted things on top of them. Don't waste your money. I am so glad that I did not purchase more of them as I thought other family members would probably like it.

My 10 year old granddaughter put it together on the fridge in an hour and learned a little geography

Pieces were extra small and did not fit together very well. Started to curl up as soon as I got them out of the can.

Great puzzle. Husband loved it and it is now framed. Very detailed
