CyberPowerCPS1500AVR Smart App LCD UPS System, 1500VA/900W, 8 Outlets, AVR, 2U Rack/Tower

I have a bit of an excessive networking setup by most people's standards, and have a 19 inch rack for my equipment. The Cyberpower CPS1500AVR fit perfectly, and keeps all my equipment running smoothly through the (thankfully) rare power outages in North Metro Denver. Be aware the unit is insanely heavy. The published weight is accurate but you just have no idea how much weight they can pack into a relatively small package. Great unit!

After much research for a budget-friendly yet quality product, this is the one I chose and it is excellent, only turns the fan on when charging after a power failure and then when fully charged it is silent.

Easy to install and setup, powers alot of items with ease.

Arrived well packaged, without damage - but inside the face plate was broken badly. Seller wasn't able to replace the cover, so gave a small refund. But the unit functions well. No fan noise unless it's charging.

I am not going to give you the data stream of everything this bad-boy can do. Plenty of other resources for this.I want to tell you what others might not...this thing is HEAVY. The average male in his 30-40's was grunting to lift it over shoulder height. The 20 something male who carried from my car was clenching his teeth. And I, the female who bought it [in her 40's] barely got it off my porch into my trunk.It is a wonderful compact size, once you get it sitting where you want it. It lights up immediately out of the box with reserve already on the battery. The LCD is easy to read and use. The box included rack ears to put on if you need them. I set this up in an office on the enclosed feet so it is standing on its side, which I like.Word of advise, if you are going to slide this out of the way and into a corner... please for the love of all that is good and pure... plug your equipment into it BEFORE you set it into its final resting position. Because if you need to "pull" it out to add anything...you may just break a sweat! :-)All comments regarding its heftiness aside, it is a wonderful product and is now proudly protecting my 16ch custom-built DVR security system and cameras. I can rest now knowing even if the power lines go down my store will be keeping a watchful eye out for quite a while.

It does what it should. I live in a place that has frequent short and infrequent long power outages.The good: it will keep my internet and wifi working for 1.5hr in a long power outage. Hooray!The bad: anytime the power fluctuates or goes out, this thing makes a really loud metallic bang. I mean the sort of thing you can hear in the next room, with all the doors closed. I don't know the purpose of that. I have many other UPSes, and they will often click or something, but a loud metallic bang is kind of disturbing.If that's necessary for such a large UPS, cool, but I wish they'd document that more clearly. I powered it off and unplugged it the first time it happened, thinking something was very wrong with it.In any case, having this in my bedroom where I sleep is unfortunate if there are power fluctuations during the night. Just one and I can get back to sleep no problem, but sometimes the power will fluctuate 10-15 times in quick succession as the utility company does whatever they do at 3am. Not a pleasant time. It's like a homeless dude banging on a metal trashcan, minus the screaming about Obama being abducted by aliens.

I have about 4 of these units. Purchased 2 in the spring of 2015 and 2 last summer in 2016. At first they appeared to be good units. The units I purchased in the summer of 2016 I noticed during our last storm that they were not holding up our servers, The load on one of the devices was just 2 small servers and the load meter just had 1 light, so the load was very light. The problem I seen was the output backup power was only around 70v AC. My other unit purchased in 2016 was outputting around 80-90v AC not the 110-120v which is what would be expected. I took out the batteries and tested them figuring that may of been the cause, but the batteries all tested ok. So it has not even been a year yet on the 2016 units. Needless to say I will not be purchasing these again.

We use this on some audio/visual equipment and it's worked like a charm. It's been through two brief power outages and one longer one without any issue. I like this unit because it has all the features of the more expensive APC units like hot swappable battery and the included server rack mounting bracket is great. I am new to Cyberpower, so I don't have the full confidence to use it in our server room yet over APC units, but I would highly recommend this unit nonetheless.

Easy to install, worked well right out of the box.

This replaces an APC 1500. It is more robust, with better sine wave regeneration and power control. One solid block of power.
