Trick or Treat Studios Men's American Horror Story-Twisty The Clown Mask

The Good... This mask looks great! I received quite a few, "whoa, that's really creepy/scary!", comments during the two times that I wore it. Very realistic, especially if it's at night or in the dark. I had no issues with tearing on the back as some other reviewers had and I took it on/off quite a few times. It was packaged well and was not smashed or folded when I received it.The Bad... It's nearly impossible to breath in this mask. It really can only be worn for short periods of time. I sore it for about an hour straight once during a costume contest and I legitimately felt light headed after I took it off.Even with the teeth mask part off it's still impossible to breath well with it. It's also nearly impossible to talk in this mask, but I figured out real quick that talking was needed... just stare and wave at people in a creepy way and it works very well! The fit was a bit weird, it was somewhat tight getting it over my head, but then there was a lot of room inside of it once it's on. I think that's just the way it needed to be designed so that many head shapes could wear it. No real knock, but just be prepared it's a bit loose/big once you get it on.The Ugly... Well, the whole thing is ugly... it's a "it's suppose to look like this way." I didn't think it looked all that great with teeth part hanging off, you just end up looking like a backwoods redneck with only four teeth.

I bought this about 6 days before Halloween and I was a bit worried it wouldn't show in time but I received it in the mail with 2 days to spare. I am a huge fan of Halloween, it is my favorite holiday second only to Christmas, every year I will spend Time, effort or in this years case Money to have a great costume and this may have been the best yet. The Mask was better than expected! Way Better! The fit was snug, as I would've hoped, the mask over the mouth is held up with leather shoelace type stuff on one side and is detachable with Velcro on the other. It is tight getting on and off of your head so caution will have to be used, this is expected if you want it to look real on your own head. I had a friend make Twisty's Clothing for me and the costume was almost identical, though I decided to go with a giant oversized, plastic butcher knife covered in blood instead of the bowling pins (Some may not get it) So, While my Wife handed out candy in the driveway I stood off in the field about 15 yards away... Most wouldn't even approach for candy, some ran right towards me for a photo, one lady practically tossed her child at me to get a picture of him with me, I felt like Santa Claus ( Although I think the screams were a little more terrified sounding in my case ) I wish she would have warned me, we may have been able to avoid getting fake blood all over his clean (And expensive looking) Minion costume.. But, Everyone complimented me on the costume whether they knew of Twisty or not, It is probably my favorite costume yet, I may even use it again next year. One thing that was a pleasant surprise was it wasn't as popular as I thought it would have been, nothing worse than wearing a costume that you end up seeing 5 or 6 times thru-out the night, Mine was the only one I saw around. I give it an A+. Very Satisfied!

Finally found this hard to find, out of production mask. This company offered a fair price and delivered an authentic Trick or Treat Studios mask.

Looks extremely realistic and creepy when moving slowly or sitting still, but because of the extremely narrow vision and lack of ability to turn the head, you will have to turn your entire body to face what you want to see.With practice you can make this motion seem natural and intimidating anyway, but otherwise you will just look really stiff walking around and turning to face people.But its really just worth it to have people notice you staring them down with this thing on. I sat outside my house on Halloween just as a sort of living prop, and not only children but adults were afraid to come anywhere near me once they saw my head slowly turning to follow them. (I sat in a camoflauged swivel chair to fix my stiff turning problem)

This is an exceptional mask, accurate to the show, well made and good fit.My only complaint is the placement and amount of the velcro holding the teeth portion of the mask.Too little to hold securely and allow easy placement.That prevented a perfect rating of 5.

Classic Bait n Switch.Show the two piece mask, describe the two piece mask with detachable mouthpiece, price the mask at the two piece price and then send the cheap one piece copy. Then hide behind the hidden no returns policy.

This is the best mask I've ever owned. It flat-out freaks people out. I won my workplace's "scariest costume" contest yesterday and this mask did the heavy lifting as, other than the clown attire, I literally just stood there. Many people commented on the eyes, especially. The only downsides to this mask is that you will most likely need some gorilla glue to touch up the leather straps if they become disconnected from the scalp (as I did), there will be some blind spots (but that lends itself to moving slowly when in-character), and the mask gets REALLY hot on the inside, making it hard to breathe. Regardless, the amazing results are worth it, especially when this officially licensed mask is selling at 50% off or more.

Alright hears the deal the MASK IS AMAZING! So why just three stars? Well the second time my son put it on the strap/string broke so the mouth was hanging there's only Velcro on one side not both. Since we had this small mishap, I had to fix it myself bc I wouldn't have had time to return and get another. I wasn't trilled it cost $60 & broke so easily! I fixed it & you couldn't even tell so my son was happy. That's why it got 3 stars instead of the 5 I originally wanted wanted to give
