Not for 5DS or 5DSR!!!!
The following statement led me to purchase the "Marrex GPS-C1 Geotagging Receiver / Wireless Shutter Remote Combo for Canon EOS 1D X, 1D C, 5D MK III, 5DS, 6D, 70D, Digital Rebel SL1, T4i, T5, T5i" for my 5DS-R. Unfortunately the manual states: "Please note: If you are using Canon 5DS and 5DS-R, please purchase Marrex GCC-3 data cable to connect with the GPS receiver." The item does work well with my 7D. No such data cable appears to be available for purchase. Bummer!

I could take it or leave it
This item is handy for what it does, but it's not the easiest thing to figure out. Turning it on and off is not very intuitive and not very easy. Turning it off is also not as easy as you'd like it to be. It would be great if it was controlled by the camera itself. The design is ok, The software interface is mediocre at best and it would be much better if the camera was able to control it.
