Purchased over 30 of these for kits given to an environmental science class.After trying several different types and brands of travel straw I just keep coming back to this one... for several reasons.Color - seems silly but these are a neutral color while many of the others were pastel and pink or purple (and frankly, my male students don't want to carry around a pink straw).Silicon tips - Some of the others that were similar had hard plastic tips that were less comfortable and these you can safely chew on the tip if that's your thing.Size - these are very small and compact, fit easily in a pocket along with keys. One of the biggest barriers to people ceasing to use disposable straws is not having one handy. Because these fold down, they are easier to carry around.Gizmo - Everybody who sees these coos over how neat they are, you screw them together then pull out. Poof! Straw!Solid - Unlike the silicon counterparts, these are reasonably stiff and will let you push through ice to insert the straw if you like. They also are stiff enough you can drink thicker beverages without them collapsing (another problem with the pure silicon straws).Safer - Because they telescope, these are safer than a steel straw that is a solid piece.

These handy collapsible straws fit in a small purse pocket or pants pocket. They also make a cold beverage feel colder because of the material they are made from. They work well and are easy to maintain.

For the price you can't beat it. Only draw back is that when put together and extended, the straw becomes hard to suck through.

So I purchased the friendly straw to try to do my part with helping the earth in anyway I can every little bit helps, I received it the day before mothers day, took it to work with me on mother's day its so convient it just tossed it in my purse cute little reusable case and it was easy to assemble easy to use easy to clean and a couple of my coworkers are already purchasing them they said it convient to have especially with The way things are going with the trash pilling up in the oceans, and the package was a 2pk I'm loving these straws always looking for an opportunity to use

I purchased these to add to a Saran Wrap Ball Christmas game. The biggest complaint I hear about metal straws is that people don’t like how they hit your teeth. These have silicone at both ends which takes care of that. The straws went together easily and each has its own case and cleaner brush making them very travel friendly. I was disappointed that I didn’t win one! My siblings were very excited to win them though. None of us are fans of paper straws and this seems like a great alternative!

It's functional, but breaking it down is awkward when you're on the go. It requires two pieces to be screwed together. Prefer the collapsible ones that collapse in a single piece. The little carrying box is also awkward, with the lid pivoting from the middle, so that it is cumbersome to put the straw pieces back into the box.
