Success on the very first attempt! I used melted coating chocolate. First, I loaded up a piping bag with the melted chocolate and cut a small hole in the tip. I filled in the details on each side of the mold, then put the two halves together and secured with the included rubber bands. I finished filling the mold with chocolate, stood it up head down, on a small pan, then set it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. It released completely from the mold and looked perfect! Except for a little smoothing at the seam (just use a finger and rub until the bumpy part is level) it needs no touching up. My granddaughter is very excited to paint it and place it on her birthday cake!

I actually liked working with this mold compared to another unicorn mold I worked with when making chocolates The only thing is you can see the white lines because there are two half’s of the mold. I tried to smooth it with a lollipop stick. As far as the arm breaking I resolved that issue by painting in some sections of the unicorn in before pouring in the rest of the chocolate. The mold is flexible enough to drop it in. So it does take a little work hence 4 stars.

I loved working with this mold for a custom cake order! I have a few issues with it though: 1. It doesn't lock together, so you have to use rubber bands to seal it. 2. The two pieces don't always come together evenly, so you have to inspect it well first before pouring. 3. No matter what I used or how I tried, one wing always broke off.

sometimes hard to get the horn to fill completely and wings are tricky to get out but you can always turn it into a horse or just a unicorn if that happens I love the double sided molds much easier to get out.

Mold was defective. I had to cut and fix the mold because the arm wasn’t coming out correctly.

This mold is held together by 2 rubber bands. Soap just runs out of it. Defective.
