Definitely a GOOD choice. The coating is really very good. Unlike other heads, this head doesn't even gets the stick marks we usually get after hitting the drumhead. I thought this isn't real at first but after using it for nearly 5 hours/day for 5 days I am writing this review. Don't know about the long run...🤨If you love cranky, raw snare sound then go for it. It's perfect for Rock music 🎶 and also Jazz (as written in the box itself) but I haven't played that on it as of now, but I am sure it'll be sick too! 💪🏻 Get your UV1 today. It's WORTH it. 🤘🏻

Picked up a steel 'student' snare on CL for $50. Put a remo powerstroke head on it. It was ok -but still had that metal ring after each strike. Received a free UV1 with the purchase of something last year. Decided to give it a try .. wow! Noticed a difference immediately. No more hollow metal ring. Tuned it nice and tight. Awesome sound.Decided to try a UV1 on my Pearl maple snare. While its a good sound, its not as good as it is on the steel snare. The powerstroke head variants I have work better with the maple snare. Out of my 5 snares of different size and materials, the cheap metal snare with the UV1 head sounds the best. No need to buy that expensive Ludwig.

Put this skin on a 13” piccolo snare. Feels durable and has a great sound. Overall very happy with my purchase!

Sin duda el parche más versátil que existe. Soy evans fan y me encanta poner el UV1 en mi tarola. Lo tengo en todas mis tarolas. Simplemente no vas mal con él. Es el parche más versátil que existe. Si tuviera que recomendar los mejores parches de tarola, serían el UV1 y el Coated Ambassador
