Best book on directing and film production that's out there. Such an invaluable resource to incorporate into filmmaking classes. Use it! Your students will be very happy.

Using this book as part of a filmmaking MA, but read it before the course started. Brilliant resource and a great foundation manual for filmmaking. Has references to plenty of other books and resourses too, so if you are intertested in filmmaking and directing, this is a great place to start and well worth the money.

I bought this for interest - I'm not a film student - and found this a brilliant overview of all aspects of filmmaking. Clearly written and comprehensive. Highly recommended.
