Great lights and helpful service
First of all, the lights are great. I use them in a large space, and the lights do the job. But also, the service was very helpful. When I received the lights, there was no bag included in the shipment (even though there was a picture of the bag in the description). I emailed customer service, and they sent me the bag right away. Thank you!

Website description misleading
Nice lights, but essentially useless without the correct battery.Bought the suggested batteries for these lights per the page description, but they DO NOT work with this product. Requires additional V-Type battery adapter not listed. After contacting customer service, they sent me adapters, which still did not work with this model as the adapters did not have the required D-TAP connectors. Further follow-up with customer service resulted in GVM telling me I had to buy different batteries that cost more than the lights. Was disappointed that GVM customer service did not know enough about their own product to:1) list the correct battery for use with these lights in the product description,2) provide the appropriate battery plate adapter as a remedyA conspiracy theorist would conclude that the whole thing was engineered as a bait and switch to get you to buy these very expensive batteries. My conclusion is that I will be returning these lights.Buyer beware that the referenced batteries (as of the time of this writing) on the page description - Sony NP-F970 Battery - DO NOT work for these lights. According to GVM you will need GVM BV95/160 batteries. In the end, my decision to return the lights was based on the discovery that GVM's customer service didn't know enough about their own product to provide the correct recommendation/remedy/solution from the get-go.

Professional-ish, but not quite professional.
These lights have a lot going for them, for the price. But that kind of says it all -- at their price point, you don't expect much, and while these lights exceed what you'd expect for that price, it doesn't put them in the realm of professional lighting instruments. They have nice features. They're dimmable and the CRI does seem very high. They have nice professional-style controls, the built-in housing for the ballast is nice, and they accept professional batteries. But they are not very bright. I'm not sure what the reviewers who say they are compare them to, but they most definitely do not crank out the lumens that a professional expects. They may be fine for close-quarters lighting of smaller subjects, or perhaps for a v-blogger, but in a typical pro shoot, they do not provide enough light to be used effectively as keys. Also, both the dimming and the color temperature changes lag behind the turn of the dial, meaning you have to wait for the lights to catch up after you turn, and it takes several seconds. This makes it more difficult to dial in a precise brightness or color temperature.Their relatively small size means they will be harder lights, casting more-defined shadows. A larger surface area would cast softer shadows. They could be diffused somewhat, and come with a diffusion screen already in place, but any diffusion will necessarily cut their brightness even further. And diffusion only gets you so far on a light this small, anyway. They may be OK as supplemental or specialized lighting, but they are not going to be a professional's go-to key light by any means.Still, like I said, they're professional-ish. I would recommend them for budget-conscious hobbyists or prosumers who want to start the climb to professional gear. But working professionals should look elsewhere up the chain if they want a workhorse lighting instrument.

Good lights with no bag and bad remote control
The cover picture is misleading. The product doesn’t come with a bag. Therefore, it’s not easy to move the product around. The brightness is good for video but the GVM Easily APP is prey bad. It cannot be connect to the light at all. Other users said the APP can’t control two lights at once and signal loss happens often.

its really bright and worth it if you get a discount on it
I really like this lights because they are bright and quit. I was expecting better barn doors. The barn doors were plastic and I was unable to remove the defuser since i had bought a large defuser online. I primarily used these light for youtube videos

I'd buy again.
These light are high quality and work very well. Although the app isn't working, everything else works great. I'm upset I didn't buy a second set
