The most important part of this review: replacements blades are not available from Flymo or anywhere else.You get four spare blades in the pack which, with careful use, should last you a few months. The issue is that you cannot buy more either from Flymo, Amazon, or other third party suppliers rendering this product useless once you have run out of blades. I have pointed this out to Amazon and have received a refund.It’s a shame as it’s lightweight, has a good battery life, is simple to use and effective. Good product other than the unavailability of the blades.

Just what I wanted to replace a 20 years old, but still working different manufacturer's cutter of simlar style, however the older one is a pain, as the huge battery has to be removed and charged in a mounted unit, then replaced to activate the machine, and that at times can be tricky, but this one, is already incorporated, Just plug into a point, charge and off you go.. 60 minute run time too! Not used yet, but looks perfect for my needs. Not able to lift heavy items and an arthritis sufferer..

Although this worked ok, we sent it back, as once the blades included were used you cannot purchase replacement, even from Flymo themselves.

This was an impulse lockdown purchase. I wanted a cordless lightweight small garden vacuum without dual purpose blower. It is useful, although the debris container is very small & fills up quickly. However the motor is quite powerful and the item is well made, with the 2 x nozzle fittings attaching easily & firmly. Was great for rose petals on grass as well as general dirt & grit along edges of terrace slabs. On balance I am happy I purchased.

Having had bad experience with string/wire based strimmers which jam, I decided to purchase one which uses plastic blades instead. This works really well, has lots of power and cuts nicely. Battery life is good (I have a very small garden but it will last a few weeks, trimming once a week).There is a negative though - the battery isn't removable so you have to charge the battery inside the strimmer which, for me, means taking the strimmer indoors to charge. This isn't enough to demote it to a four star rating for me but it's worth noting.

Very difficult to get the sheath on and off the blade. Had to use a screwdriver to prise it off and get it back on. Very difficult to put the little charging plus in. It doesn’t feel as though it’s in properly and it isn’t for it slips off with any movement. I tried ringing customer service. I had to phone 3 times because they spoke the number so fast and then was told the only way to contact customer service was by email and the e address wAs impossible to understand. Very frustrating poor servive. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because it works ok

Worse thing I have ever bought !!!!!! The blades don’t last 5 minutes and you can’t get flymo originals although I did get some gardenia ones that fit. I’m using 7 blades per trim which gets very expensive. Yes it is very light and comfortable to use but at a cost. And the battery does last a good while but it is not up to the job I wanted it for which is only trimming the lawn edging. Going to have to replace it with a proper one.

This Flynn would have got 5 stars as easy to use and lightweight,but,blades very flimsy and constantly need changing.Now I don’t allow my grass to get too long at all but I can easily go through 5-7 blades....This comes to my next point.....blades.... impossible to get!I did order extra when purchasing flymo but should have taken heed to reviews with people saying they can’t get replacements.Shame as I do like it.
