Randonneur Rigid, Black Clincher, Street Riding, Touring, Bicycle Tire

Really difficult to mount on the rim.

I replaced a pretty worn tire with a 700C X 35 Vitoria Radonneur for my back tire. My front tire hasn't gotten any flats, but this tire has gotten 6 or 7 (I've frankly lost count) since early September, 2 months ago.I do just normal city biking, and haven't ridden through visible broken glass, but even the tiniest piece of glass, if encountered, will stick to the tire and migrate through to puncture the tube. I've gotten *very* fast at patching inner tubes, and finding the corresponding piece of glass in the tire.Anyway, it's going in the trash when my replacement arrives. Before this, I've never paid attention to what tire I put on my bike, but this tire is on my never buy again list.

I was riding a 600k brevet (I'm a randonneur) with these tires. I'd already put 100 miles on them because you should never ride a major event with new equipment (right?). About 150 miles into the event I got a flat. Two miles later I got a second flat, same wheel. Eight miles later I got a third flat and I realized the weld on the bead had failed and the exposed end of wire bead was causing the flats. By the time I rode to the nearest bike shop to get a new tire we were too far behind schedule to complete the event within the time limit and had to abandon. They were the last Vittoria tires I will ever buy.

GIOS ESOLAの純正ホイール622x20 6000、タイヤは35Cが付いていた。タイヤを細くしたくて、ネットの情報をもとに、ホイールそのままで28C化は可能と考え、ビットリア ランドナー Rigid 28Cを買いましたが...固すぎてはまらない。どうにかこうにか無理やりはめたが、部分的にビードが上がらず。自転車屋に持ちこんでプロにやってもらったが、それでも無理で、ホイルと適合していないと言われた。結局、店の人に勧められた30cのKENDAのタイヤに交換。自分にとっては無駄な買い物をしてしまった。。。あ、もちろん、純正で28cタイヤ装着可能なホイルになら適合するかと思う。それでもかなり固くはめるのに苦労するかと思う。

自分はタイヤ交換の経験は数える程度で未熟練者だと思いますので、そこは汲んで下さい。同じ銘柄のタイヤを以前ショップで組んでもらって乗って来ましたし、価格も手頃で選んでみたものの、まず、タイヤ自体がとても硬く、タイヤレバー無しでは組めませんでした。そして何としてもリムラインが前後2本とも出ません。20センチほどの範囲だったでしょうか、どうしてもラインが出ません。ネットで調べて色々試してみましたが、結局諦めて別のタイヤ（折り畳んであるタイプ）にしたところ、タイヤレバーも必要無く組めて、リムラインも一発で出て拍子抜けしました。結果、リムラインが出ない（出せない）タイヤがある。という経験値は残りました。

丁寧な梱包でとても良かったです。何よりも商品の到着が早い。

デザイン・走り心地・値段、どれを見てもクロスバイクではコレがオススメですね😀
