Using a long threaded bolt and sockets, l cannot remember how many times I have over-applied pressure to perfectly new bearings to simply ruin them.This set is the perfect tool for installation, not too tight, not too loose.A required compliment tool is a blind hole bearing extractor/puller.Bottom line, if you are doing your own bearing changes, invest $150 in the right tool and get the job perfectly done in minutes1. Otherwise, don't waste hours with a home made setup and pay the LBS to do it.

i really, really like the quality of the kit, but, it does not work for thru axles. this kit does not have bearing over axle drifts, kit only supplies open bore drifts. the other thing that i didnt like about the kit, was the press handle, only one side spins, so 1 bearing can be pressed at a time. kit does not include any spacers. quality of case feels cheap. the worst is the tolerances, allow 1-2mm of error, i do not recommend this kit.

For an inexpensive bearing press you cannot go wrong. I considered a much more expensive unit, but decided to give this one a try. Even though the drive screw appears to be small, it has withstood everything I have thrown at it so far. The press bushings/sleeves are sized correctly and work very well. Don't know if this would stand up to routine use in a bike shop, but for a cyclist doing their own repairs, this should do the job just fine.

Works great. Still need to heat the outer race and chill the bearing to get it to press in straight.Presses are slightly undersized just like they should be so they don’t interfere with the press race.

Great value for the price. Used this to service my hubs and change the pivot bearings on my bike.

10 times better than the Boca tool I previously purchased.
