Park Designs Lumberton Lantern Lamp

It took me quite some time to figure out how to insert the glass without breaking it due to no instructions. You must go bottom first with the inside of the bottom glass circle pressed up next to the light socket. Lift the upper wire ring by pulling up the vertical wire. Carefully tilt the glass globe under the wire ring then slide the bottom towards you. Reverse the order when changing out the bulb. Recommend no more than a 15W clear candle bulb for the bottom. These did not come with lamp shades (as mentioned), but Aspen Creative 32211 Brown, (8" x 12 1/2" x 7 1/2") look great with this lamp.

I really like this lantern lamp, but be advised...the glass jar will be crooked, which I guess is okay, as it gives it a rustic charm. What I do regret, though, is that I spent $38.98 to buy a lamp shade just like the one you see in the picture, and it looks ugly, and it's nonrefundable. So I bought another beige one, and it looks awesome now! Just be sure you use a 4W light bulb, for the bottom, because it will be blinding. You can have both bulbs lit, or set it on just the bottom, or just the top. At first I thought the bottom was turned on from a separate switch, but it's a 3 way switch. Overall I love it. It may be over priced for the quality (as it's light), but it does look nice.

Yes, I bought this lamp because I liked the lantern-like appearance and the fact that it also provides a night light. I can also say that out of the box, it actually looks quite nice.However, the frame on this lamp was very, very sloppily assembled such that the metal frame was welded together crooked -- as a result, this lamp has a distinct and unmistakable lean to one side. The lean is so pronounced that it even forces the glass part to lean with it.There's a tag that comes attached to this lamp that announces it as having been made in India -- whoever in that country welded this thing together needs to be retrained in how to weld or needs their eyes checked.I might have given this high marks, otherwise -- but, if the build quality for the structure is this bad, you can't help but wonder how well the electrical components hidden inside the leaning framework were put together.I would have been willing to pay more for a version of this lamp built by someone who actually cared enough to do it right.

We ordered a pair of these lamps for a mountain vacation home. They arrived very quickly and were well packaged. We really liked the rustic style of the lamps and thought they were a good value for the price. One reason we opted to buy these particular lamps was that they did not come with lamp shades. We prefer to select our own shades and liked this option.

I would love to give a 5 star review, but we couldn't get the glass lantern in. The glass was too big, no matter what we did, it was simply impossible.

The design was very attractive; perfect for a camp/cabin. On the flip side the manufacturer's quality control appears to be rather poor or non-existent. The glass globe had numerous bubbles, a small scratch, and was hit with paint over spray, which was impossible to totally remove. Additionally the base wobbles even when placed on a perfectly flat surface. I phoned the distributor above in the hope getting a replacement globe, but was told no separate parts are available. Thinking of returning for a replacement, but suspect the replacement will likely be of the same poor construction quality.

It’s not a very bright light at all, not that I expected it to be real bright

I should have read the description better because I was surprised when it arrived without a lampshade. I was a little disappointed with the quality but my 7 yr old son liked it for his nautical themed bedroom.
