CHINESE KALE (Kailaan) –I Blue Wonder (Brassica oderacea alboglabra) Chinese Kale, also called Kailaan or Chinese Broccoli, has glossy, blue-green leaves with crisp and thick stems. This vegetable adapts well to cold and hot climates. Thick and attractive waxy green leaves with large stem are very tasty and crispy, excellent for stir-fry cooking. This is one of the most popular vegetables in Chinatown. Blue Wonder is one of a few hybrid Chinese kales, developed recently for the commercial productions. Plants are highly uniform and vigorous, reaching maturity in 45-50 in spring/summer season and 55-60 days in fall/winter season after sowing. This variety is very slow bolting with a wide adaptability to various climates, suitable for all year round growing, strongly resistant to heat and rain. Easy to grow. After the first cutting of the main stem, the plant will grow many branches for subsequent harvests.
