Men's Gel-Excite 7 Running Shoes

I started wearing Asics a while back, because I had heard of their reputation. I've only been going for the inexpensive Asics, not the really expensive ones, but they are doing fine for me.I have one pair that I have worn over 4 continents, and I still have them. They're a little rough now, but I keep them around for sentimental reasons.The cheaper ones that I buy seem to fall apart in two areas - the cushioning behind the heel, and the bottom of the sole. That's not to say that they fall apart quickly; it's just after years of use that's where the breakage point comes. I mitigate this by wearing thick socks and/or heel cushioning, and occasionally I have had to reglue the sole. But for the price, I usually just buy another.

I wore these almost everyday for 2 years. I worked out, ran, and/or worked in them consistently and they held up to the bitter end. I even put them in the washer a couple times and they came out looking almost brand new.

Great set of running shoes. I have a wider foot so I went with 9 wides, fits as expected. ASICS has always delivered a great product, and the support that you get (I’m a normal arch) from these shoes is as good as always.Pros: Great fit, good support, allows for some swelling of the feet during long runs.Cons: I’ve gotten really used to ASICS so not too much. They do keep in the heat a little but it might be my socks.Definitely recommend!

When I went to my podiatrist appointment I showed the doctor the shoes (I was wearing them) and she said they were designed very well with an elevated heel and proper support for the Achilles.My only complaint would be that I wish the shoe insoles had more cushion. They are rather firm.I would recommend and probably will buy additional ASICS products in the future.

My second pair of Excite 7, good all around shoe

Used Asics for decades, this (Excite) is the 1st pair to surprise (shock) me with its obvious low quality and cheap manufacturing finish. So disappointed, had to return them with disappointment. will continue using Asics though, but just not this model

Initially liked these shoes a lot. But after a few weeks of usage, the top of the shoe started wearing down. After less than two months of usage, the top of the shoe wore down so that I can see my big toe. A plastic piece supporting heal starting moving around and creates discomfort, and the cushioning is not as great. In short, poor quality materials.
