This adapter saved the day and I would even say seems better than the original in longevity.

It is not like the one that came with the original Asus laptop, but it is directly plugged into the wall using a large piece, so its charger will not keep falling off the wall like the Asus laptop.

This is a great after market part for an Asus laptop. My original chord frayed and stop working. I researched chords and found this one and am very pleased. Inexpensive too.

I bought this hoping to charge may Asus K501U laptop but it doesn't even charge. The tip of the charger also has some dust on it, I'm not sure if it's even a new charger.
